Would Tool headline? I'm not their biggest fan, and they wouldn't draw in the usual crowd... but they don't seem to play anywhere so surely people would flock to that day. I think they're such a hard band to place, surely it'd be day ticket holders who would watch them, and a minority of weekend ticket holders (going by the 'typical' crowd).

Errrm a little outside the box maybe, but Trent Reznor said in Nov last year (Rolling Stone article I think) that he was working on music with NIN in mind & that he wouldn't be totally against performing live again if it "feels right".

NIN

System of a Down

Deftones

Hell that works for me. xD

Of those I'd say only the last three are likely. I think CTE will Deffo play mainstage. Maybe p@td but I can't see any of the others. I'd love alter bridge but I don't think they are the type of act R&L books. The other are meh from me.

I know this lineup is pretty unrealistic, but could someone just give me some info on which placements are wrong, which acts definitely won't happen, probably won't and also the acts I've put that could happen. If someone could just literally evaluate my whole line up i would love them...

I meant people have actually purchased tickets, yeah. The announcement of FOB solidified a fair few who were 50/50 about whether to get a ticket or not, and the rest just went online as soon as they were announced. I do agree though, buying a weekend ticket for one band is a little odd, but hey-ho.

It isn't quite the same, but i got a day ticket in 2010 exclusively for Blink, it helped that I liked every band that were also on that day, but they could have announced 9 bands I really dislike and I would have still got the ticket just for Blink.

When people say 'I know a load of people going just for...' what they actually mean is they know people who have gone 'OMG!!!!! Fall Out Boy are playing Reading!!!!! We should go. OMG!!!! Look at all these other cool bands!!! We're definitely going now!!!'

Nobody would shell out £200 just to see Fall Out Boy play for 50 minutes, then spend the rest of the weekend sat in their tent listening to Fall Out Boy on their iPod.

    • First thing I saw on socials today were people talking about Limp Bizkit spending most of their set dicking about, does not surprise me.
