I don't understand why LP would play above SOAD... they have gone severely downhill and their crowd at Download was tiny compared to SOAD's. Biffy above SOAD makes sense as they are def a bigger band but tbh if SOAD can't headline now I don't see how LP can. LP were bigger in their heyday but would say they are about the same size now. Otherwise seems a good shout but FOB will be higher.

i wish we'd just get the biffy day but i think thy reckon it'll give too much away. I'd not be shocked if it was kept under wraps until the big announcement by zane.

i'll say monday 11th march 7pm for the announcement.

i think it's so up in the air at the minute but Reading:

? - I can't call a band here but The Prodigy would be my closest call.

SOAD

Deftones

BMTH

Alt J

Jake Bugg

Eminem

The XX

Bloc Party

White Lies

You Me At 6

The Gaslight Anthem

Biffy Clyro

Fall Out Boy

Vampire Weekend

Well personally for me at the minute, the subs are SOAD, The XX and Fall Out Boy.

Looking at their late 2008 and 2009 March UK dates, they were all arena's, including the MEN and the o2 and while I have no guarantee they sold out. hey were dates put on after NEC, SECC and Wembley Arena shows.

They were 4th down in 09 after being 4th down in 07 and 5th in 06. I think if they had continued and not made a shit last album then they would have hit 3rd/sub easily.

You would think that Bloc Party, being the R&L favourites they are, or at least were would still sub. I only see this happening should The XX not play. Foals only played Academies at the most and some much small. I know they did the Albert Hall too?, but it's not huge, just unique. I don't see them higher than 4th on the lineup. Vampire Weekend, Bloc Party and White Lies are all bigger I'd say andI'd not put White Lies above 3rd.

This is off of the Reading Forums, I forgot to add Placebo but I'm not going to copy it.

Biffy Clyro

SOAD

Placebo

Bring Me the Horizon

Eminem

Chase & Status

Deftones

Wu Tang Clan

Blur

Jack White

Fall Out Boy

Foals

If Blur play, it's a decent fit. I think that fits Deftones and BMTH in perfectly to not stop the non fans going.

C&S would probably need to be offered that slot to keep away from V.

The only other gripe I have is, as much as Jack is a bigger name, FOB have sold bigger places. This said, he only has one album.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
