Fall Out Boy subbing is the equivalent of Enter Shikari disappearing for 2 years and then coming back with no new material and subbing.

Has nothing to do with anything I suppose but when I look at it that way it makes me feel even more sick that it's a possibility FOB could sub

Which would be blur in my opinion.....

Honestly, l know XX are massive and they are good for sleep music, but I don't see how they are so popular. And I agree to an extent, maybe someone like bloc under blur would be better. But XX are massive so, ya know, maybe.

My argument is seeing fallout boy sub with system would be like Megan fox being with Ronald mcdonald

Remember though, there is new material and a new song out, which it's plain terrible.

Wether they will or not is up for question but the arena size's they were doing before splitting and with R&L being the only place they'll be this year, well festival wise and they have that little show, sub is possible.

I thought they couldnt possibly play a big open stage and nail it until I saw them at werchter last summer.

Amazing but there is always a but, the problem subbing is there would be alot there not interested and only waiting for the headliner. People will be paying not attention and chatting and acting like cocks.

Grumpy moment over.

Completely agree...which is why i sort of dont want them to play....who would they play under? Eminem? Blur? The XX are the sort of band that people should watch in silence and just stand in awe of how perfect they are (especially the first album), whereas Blur or Eminem fans would be very very unlikely to appreciate this.

I don't get why the idea of fob subbing is so bizarre?

When they played in 09, they were fourth when they could have easily played third, off the back of an arena tour. Best part of half a decade away, people get nostalgic and demand goes up. Also, remind acts like kaiser chiefs have subbed off the back of one album.

I'd take dizzee as the other sub, his stock is only going up.

I can see it shaping up to be something like that, if not in that order then I can imagine a fair few of them playing.. possibly on the mainstage.

I'm surprised the annual RHCP/ Daft Punk rumours haven't been mentioned yet, unless I've missed it.

I think it will be half and half...the more diehard blur fans would, i agree...but i think half the crowd will be people who like to sing along to the only songs they know: Country house, Girls and Boys and Parklife...which is a shame.

And Song 2, of course...

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
