Eminem

SOAD

Limp Bizkit

Wu-Tang Clan

Deftones

Enter Shikari

BMTH

We are the Ocean

I can see it shaping up to be something like that, if not in that order then I can imagine a fair few of them playing.. possibly on the mainstage.

I'm surprised the annual RHCP/ Daft Punk rumours haven't been mentioned yet, unless I've missed it.

I wouldn't be so sure. I have Blur crazy friends, I also have The XX do nothing for me, being the same friends. I know that's one small group but they won't be on their own. I think the sub needs to have something about them to stop people just seeing it as passing time before a header they want, and not sure The XX is for that. The crowd just want music they can sing along to, get into and gives them a jump up I reckon. We know full well that Bloc Party, SOAD and provided something suitable is on NME, then FOB will have their fans that will do this.

Very True...on the other hand, during The Black Keys last year, so many people turned up just to sit through until Foos came out...if the XX subbed, it'd undoubtedly be a stunning show, but i worry that a large proportion would just turn up for whoever is headlining...Id love them to play but am worried it could be a wasted slot if everyone is bored and talking throughout.

Pretty much spot on, although its a double edged sword if were going to look at it that way.

Should the quieter bands not go higher than 3rd or 4th because alot of the crowd would be pre occupied?

I remember watching portishead but alot of the crowd couldnt give a damn and was chatting and shouting to hurry up as coldplay were on next. It spoilt there set for me and I was getting more and more annoyed.

Which would be blur in my opinion.....

Honestly, l know XX are massive and they are good for sleep music, but I don't see how they are so popular. And I agree to an extent, maybe someone like bloc under blur would be better. But XX are massive so, ya know, maybe.

My argument is seeing fallout boy sub with system would be like Megan fox being with Ronald mcdonald

I think people use the word 'massive' far too liberally these days. I've honestly never heard XX mentioned anywhere away from this forum, and apart from briefly giving them a listen on YouTube (not really my sort of thing) I'd never heard any of their songs. I'm not arguing that they're not big within their respective genre, or with fans of that type of music (I honestly don't know enough about them to dispute it), but are they really generally massive?

    • I decided to goto bed early for the Aussie game rather than stay up for Scotland. I don't regret my decision, I also love the complete over reaction during the world cup when a player has 1 good game, that Watford winger is now everyones dream signing. Its also funny when clubs get into the hype and end up overpaying for someone who then does nothing in the prem.

    • I read the Kerrang review and they didn’t seem overly positive. The definition of a 6 out of 10.
    • Interesting the stat guys say 3 points and -3 goal difference is where it gets to 50/50 territory in terms of going to the last 32. If Scotland lose their last 2 at best they are on -1, play like they did yesterday and they could take a heavy loss.   However thinking about it positively get 4 points from the last 2 games and the group is won! Have heard a few saying Scotland should just park the bus next 2 games, but not sure they have the players to do it. From my perspective they could really do with a decent defensive midfielder to add balance, but not sure if they have one in the squad. They also need significantly more from Mctominay who I thought was poor, but understand he has been unwell.
