Just looking at biffy clyro tour date at Newcastle arena out of interest and there is only 5 seats(and tickets) left in the whole venue out of 11,000.

Then looked at Manchester arena and 480 seats of 20000.

AECC, SECC, BIC Bournemouth, Cardiff motorpoint are all already sold out.

Of all the arenas that can be checked on ticketmaster it seems its selling well. At least 66,000 gone from those mentioned.

I reckon it'll sell out soon, meaning no problem with the announcement day for R&L, if indeed they are playing.

They were, I wasn't a fan before I saw them at Reading but they blew me away. The crowd was fairly small but you could tell everyone there absolutely loved them! The highlight was Wake Up and the crowd all singing along, beautiful!

Unfortunately it's a very lazy slur against a popular band that because they appeal to the masses their fans must be unimaginative cretinous sheep who don't understand 'proper' music and who are only there to jump up and down to the hits and can't appreciate an electric or chilling atmosphere.

Of course there's an element of truth, but element of truth doesn't instantly mean every fan is like that, just as a band being considered credible like The Cure (which was the initial comparison) doesn't instantly mean that every fan is into every song. There were plenty of people watching The Cure who were there for two or three songs only, just like there would have been for the Foos.

    • This!   Biffy Clyro I don't think would ever get asked, I just don't think it us their scene and it certainly wouldn't be a wise move for them after how the Finsbury Park show went. If they ever had a chance of regaining or staying a bit higher up taking Slam Dunk isn't how you do it. For the cost of it now I think being into the main headliner does make a difference though.
    • Sabrina I actually think is alright, but as an overall thing including Fontaines in the mix it does look very boring.
    • I went to the O2 show as had cheap NHS tickets. I did love the whole Machine Gun Kelly vs MGK Emo/Pop Punk stuff amusing and could see that show going down well. I thought it was so funny watching the video skits of a die hard old skool fan gradually morphing in to an Emo Kid. That show with less old Machine Gun Kelly tunes and more MGK Pop-Punk would be ace.   Pair him against a heavy act on the other stage and jobs a goodun,
    • Not sure if this is allowed, but I have an additional daily ticket which I’m willing to sell for a heavily reduced price. If you, or someone you know wants to go that day, but wouldn’t for the original price, let me know.    Edit: It’s for Friday
    • Couple of standing tickets left on ticketmaster if anyone is still trying
