Do Eminem fans like decent hip hop? I thought it was one or the other? Probably better spreading decent hip hop over the weekend rather than just Eminem day.

I wouldnt go as far as 2 days, the sunday at read always a reputation as the heavy day.

You could have seen one and half of the other, or a big chunk of both. I saw half of Florence and the entire Cribs performance. I thought Florence was shocking and the Cribs were the best thing I saw all weekend.

I suppose you're right, and come to think about it, that was all before the indie revival in early 2000s had taken it's toll anyway so they wouldn't have an indie dominated line-up, so they weren't exactly heavying it up.

It always seems to me that the heavier acts are more popular at Reading, the fact that dentalplan says 'treated' makes me think that Reading should go back to two heavy days. Maybe one heavier than the other. Plus as Sonisphere has pulled out means that there maybe more of a market for heavier stuff.

I just had a look at the line up Eminem had below him when he headlined T in the Park in 2010 to see how they dealt with it, not a single band I would class as heavy played on their main stage. They had the likes of Stereophonics, Vampire Weekend, Newton Faulkner... I know that T and R&L are very different festivals, hopefully we get a different approach.

If Biffy or Sabbath are one of the other headliners wouldn't it be more likely that the "heavy" day would be built around them rather than Mr Shady?

Dont understand why people are putting forward Dizzee Rascal as a sub? Since he last appeared he has done absolute nothing, no new tracks and certainly not a new album. Just don't know how they could justify him keeping the same spot!

Releasing a mix tape of old songs and stuff from other artists isn't really 'busy as hell'

He has got a 5th album in the works though, so I guess that might be enough to justify bumping him up.

Dizzee is a bit strange as I can't think of a recent R&L headliner who has had as many or more no.1 singles as he does.
