well thats a personal thing hah

i dont mind them

but i also dont want them headlining a festival.

they're the kind of band that i can fall asleep to very easily and wouldnt mind seeing at a gig, i just dont feel they should be headlining a rock festival.

that just my opinion though ...

can you explain that

i wouldnt call them pop. i would say they're more alternative than most bands

again, i have nothing against them musically, i just dont think they should be on that massive stage with acoustic instruments singing folk songs as a headline performance at arguably the biggest rock festival in the uk.

no denying their size, just dont think their right for a headline performance.

i dont think festivals need advertising.

i think if you want to go to one then you go.

dont think advertising would make you think "im gonna go spend 200 quid just on a ticket and even more on the weekend because that was quite a good advert"

its not like a steakbake or cilit bang hahah

Don't underestimate the power of advertising.

That Tomorrowland thing has flocks of British people going over because of that clip of strobelights and pilled up Europeans and it has practically the same lineup as Creamfields every year. The fact I've seen those adverts before, shared on Facebook by people without much interest in music speaks for itself, it's played off like Disneyland for clubbers.

But no, I don't think it would work for R+L either; what exactly would they show on the adverts that would appeal to non-festival goers?

ah I didn't even actually mention TV adverts, I was thinking more of an internet campaign, just to perhaps whip up more interest? It was just an idea, as obviously the festival hasn't been selling as well as it used to. And I also don't think lack of advertising is why it hasn't been selling, but I believe that could be a way of helping it to sell better
