Wow, i can't really see this... really ? Ok, George Michael on his own singing some of his classics from early doors might swing it, but to put it up as Wham? I can't see this happening at all.

but if there's that Wham element, why shouldn't it be talked about as Wham?

George Michael playing might be a bit unexpected, but it wouldn't be that unexpected (as your own comment gets to show).

But if it also had that Wham element, that would be hugely unexpected, and it would cause those in the know to talk about Wham.

While I have no idea if it's true or not, and while I'm inclined to disbelieve it, there's still nothing that rules it out. There's been more to rule it in than out that's been presented to me since I was emailed that name.

I love how Mumford are derided as being manufactured, lighweight, priveledged and image-conscious and yet Wham(!) are seen as more deserving.

Absence certainly does make the heart grow fonder, or is it just cooler to ironically like shitty 80's pop?

Did Andrew Ridgely actually sing any on any of the songs, and do you think he'd actually remember the words :) Do you think George Michael could actually remain corpus mentis for long enough to do a set! What a duo, what energy they would drum up before the Stones ;)

It clearly wouldn't be to everybody's taste but let's not kid ourselves that Wham! wouldn't be a massive coup.

Personally I loved camping it up to Scissor Sisters in 2010 and would do exactly the same for Wham!

Christ, just look at how every dreary wedding reception you've ever been to is transformed the second a Wham! track hits the wheels of steel!! :P

Wham are not headlining. Not a snowball's chance in hell.

Like it or not, Glastonbury is at least 50% under 30s - and Wham have virtually no following amongst that group. Glastonbury Festivals would be aware of that.

Whether people want to admit it or not, Mumford and Sons have infinitely more pull and are more deserving at this point.

Either would be shit, but Mumford might actually happen. Wham - no chance.

Wham! did some benefit gigs for some strikers back in the 80s didn't they? Miners, or the print. Can't remember the details but sure it happened. So, I'm going for Wham! in the Leftfield, Friday night.

    • If Werchter pulled in Blink and Foos plus like Sabrina if she's touring and got System if they are I'd be more inclined to try it vs RIP if they got Blink, Foos and System. I don't at the moment, maybe reflection will be different, think that RIP is greatly setup for overseas travelling over. It feels more like currently day festival days with a camping over separate rather than hotel as its included.
    • I think many US people are fed up with the US and have definitely discovered how amazing it is to come to Barcelona for a better experience and way cheaper than back home.   Surely PS doesnt set up a huge commercial festival only to not put in place a system where QR codes can’t be re-used?
    • They'll get Foo Fighters as well.
    • That as a surprise along with The Cure is the best part of the lineup so far.   Probably means though she's about next year again.
    • I also dont think Deftones will tour next year.   But I think RIP will have both Foos and Blink and if SOAD fo festivals that will be your 3.
