Even if he does play it doesn't mean he's headlining. I can't see him closing the festival on the Pyramid, my guess is good as anyones though, could be totally wrong. From what I can see he's been SR for the Sunday on the Pyramid and now people are jumping to conclusions that he is the headliner.

Dizzee as a SR on the Sunday and Neil seemingly thinking that Mumfords are a backup for the Stones isn't a vague suggestion at all. in fact it's more solid than the rest of the bullshit that people get their conclusions from

Dizzee is an SR for Sunday. Nothing more.

I said I had a 'hunch' about Mumfords. Nothing more.

There's what I say or list, and then there's what other take from it and decide what it means. ;)

Dizzee won't headline. If he's to play he'll sub. I can't think of anything he's done since subbing in 2010 and for the festival to book D.R it'd be a weak booking. After a decent new album he'll deserve it though.

Arctic Monkeys, The Rollling Stones and Mumfords are the headliners for me.

and yet it's still more solid than the rest of the bullshit people get their conclusions from

and yep, i was, because i personally believe that the other suggestions for the subs / Other Stage headliners are a lot more likely than The Prodigy, who played four years ago and haven't released anything since (and probably won't before Glastonbury)

not once have i said 'they're nailed on', also concerning Blondie. i just personally believed she was going to be in the Legends slot and, in my mind, had settled on that being the most likely outcome.

the way people scrutinise the wording of people's posts in this forum i'm surprised people aren't getting pulled up for punctuation and grammar

i personally don't think Dizzee will headline. i was basically summing up what every other person had been discussing in this thread amongst the Rihanna debacle. if he's there, he'll be a sub (or if he wasn't down as a SR for the Pyramid i'd say even Other headliner), probably to Mumfords, who i believe are the third headliner

    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
