2013 Headliners

There are very few artists/groups who are truly global at the moment, who either haven't headlined or could headline. You could probably put Iron Maiden in there as a band who can sell out stadiums absolutely anywhere in the world, but i would never want them to headline.

Mumfords deserve a shot.

i had a dream last night, I was walking around the festival site looking at the program. Florence and the machine was headlining the Friday and the stones the saturday. Didn't see who was headlining the sunday.

I was a bit dissapointed

think of that what you will :P

I still think Florence is playing, she has said she can't wait to return, whether she's touring or not we don't know yet, could be announcer much closer to the time. She'd make a perfect sub for the stones, and it won't hurt to have some diversity of male and female acts on the pyramid! :)

i think you'll find a lot of negativity here regarding Flo, not from me mind, when i have seen her live she's been really good. Although having seen her do her latest album on tour i am not sure i'd go out of my way to see her at the fest again, depends if as you say she subs the Stones, or where and when.

Yes lets have florence and the machine headlining, you can never have enough private school educated people who got given their chance via the private school network if you ask me.

fri: Mumford & sons (king's college)

sat: florence and the machine (alleyn's school)

sun: laura marling (leighton park)

sub headliners could be la roux, pixie lott and elly jackson

Does anybody really give a toss? I couldnt care less if they had been to the best schools in the world or if they lived on the streets for their entire life, if they make good music Ill listen to them.

    • On the Wet Leg crowd - the opening day always has the worst crowd of the festival. A lot of locals show up purely because it's a cheap evening, often with not much interest in the acts performing, so, while the talking is an issue throughout the festival (and increasingly at gigs/fests everywhere) it's particularly rough on the Wednesday every year. I'll only bother next year if I really like the act playing.  The wristband is basically a souvenir these days, which I like, as I keep them. Also I guess for the festival it's kind of cheap advertising as people walk around the city with them on.
    • Hoping the day splits will be included with whatever the secret is.
    • They will search bags going from the campsite into the festival site. How thoroughly they do that varies greatly from one security person to the next. If they find any cans they probably won't confiscate them, but more likely they'll offer you the option of drinking them there and then or taking them back to the campsite
