How many albums do you think someone needs to have recorded to headline Glastonbury?

I would have thought that, having only recorded 2 with a total runtime of less than 2 hours, Mumford aren't really ready, from a mathematical perspective. I think it ruins a set somewhat when you know a band is going to play literally every song, you want to be able to pick and choose.

I saw The Strokes at V just after their 2nd album came out, before which they'd said of all their gigs "We don't do encores and we don't do covers", a policy which they had to reverse because their entire recorded output wasn't long enough to fill a headline slot.

Personally, I'd like a Glasto headliner to have at least 4 hours of material to pick from (although I appreciate they can't all be Springsteen)

"How many albums do you think someone needs to have recorded to headline Glastonbury?"

Now you see this is interesting because it also raises the question of who if any out these that have not already headlined are around that have had more than two albums out and are " popular" enough to warrant a headline spot , whether you they deserve it or not. Within a popular concensious, i bet that there are not many.

I'm not denying they're weirdly popular, but my point was that there's no way they're the biggest band in the world. I proved that with Adele and McCartney and that's just on the British side. I'll toss One Direction in there as well to get the c**ts off the podium. Then we have a long list of international acts who dick on them populartity wise as well. Hopefully they'll throw out an even shitter third album and disappear for good.

    • Saturday notes:   MARINA - absolute highlight, a proper diva, I'm so glad I skipped the headliners for her. Also, the crowd was beautiful, no yapping, no pushing, just enjoying the music together. Primavera crowd at its best.   Ninajirachi - One would say that at the end of the last day of the festival, they must have told each other everything, right? Not really. There was still SO MUCH MORE to say. Primavera crowd at its worst. It was completely packed and someone was constantly pushing themselves through the crowd. It was quite difficult to enjoy the set, even though I love her music.   Olivia Rodrigo - The teasing, the speculations, finally the confirmation and the first reactions of people! When I was showing the "tweet" to my partner, there was a young girl standing behind us who asked me very politely if she could see it and if it is really happening here tonight and after she finally processed it, she had the cutest "Holy. sh*t." reaction. Few minutes later, when refilling the water, I almost lost it when another girl beside me started screaming "Oh my god! Oh my god! No way! Oh my god!", staring into her phone. And then also Robert Smith came. I must admit I'm not familiar with Olivia's songs (but I'm planning to change it) and can't really say I loved the set itself, but I absolutely loved the whole Olivia Rodrigo experience.
    • Few full sets on YouTube. The Cure and Skrillex are 2 that I’ve seen
    • Robyn hasn't sold out standing tickets at CO-OP live, wonder how many are left and if it'll have cheap tickets near the date.
    • Is anyone selling a medium camper van parking spot - I would love to buy it off you!   Bought our tickets a while ago and have since found out gf is pregnant and will be 7 months by festival! Luckily family have just bought a camper van we can borrow so we can still come along but… the medium parking spots have sold out 😞
