2013 Headliners

He was awful. You'd have to really, really love him to be happy with the dreadful show he put on. Such a shame. I'd always wanted to see him and by the end I just regretted skipping DLS v SP.

I don't really love him. He wasn't awful... what was awful about it? The band were good, he did a fair few of his hits, it was sunny.... he did what he does. Anyone disappointed must have had unreasonable expectations. What were you expecting?

Just watching the end of The Pixies Acoustic on Sky Arts 1. It would make an outstanding headline set. Remarkable how well both the playing and singing hold up without the effects and noise - truly great band with truly great songs.

I expected him to sing reasonably well (he didn't), to seem bothered about being there (he wasn't) and for there to have been a sense of excitement, which unfortunately entirely dissipated the moment he walked on stage.

I think I probably tried too hard last time. I expected one of my top 25 or so artists to be one of the top 25 or so favourite artists I'd seen live. He wasn't. I was disappointed. My opinion; your opinion. Thems your onions. I'd give him another go if he cropped up, probably.

Why, thank you very much! If I've managed to trump the other 401 pages of posts then I feel I have achieved something! Maybe Branson'll chuck money at Glasto as well to preserve the V-branded festival?! In fact, if all the promoters of all the other festivals got together we could get almost anyone at Glasto! Eminem, Bon Jovi, Kings of Leon - what an event it could be!!

personally I think it will be mumford & sons

seeing how they are pretty much ruled out of R&L would be surprised if they did only one UK fest appearance this year.

They will most likely play oxygen, (if it comes back).

I just think it's strange seeing as T haven't booked them as exclusive, thought they'd be the first on the booking list for many festivals.

Singing well, not making Laura Marling seem interesting, not boring me to tears, not being surprisingly devoid of charisma, not looking like he'd rather be anywhere else in the world.....

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
