With ticket prices being higher than ever and extra miney being generated by taking the pre erected tent "in house" plus the usuall vendor fees, car parking and merchandise the cash is clearly their. Get it spent. The charities will still be getting their slice of the pie when the dust settles.

I'm sure they'll get a third headliner with not too much difficulty. There are so many bands out there who appreciate how important the slot could be to their careers. Then they've also got plenty of contacts which they can call upon for favours.

I still think Radiohead would be more than happy to dig Eavis out a hole and play a one off show. Mr Albarn would probably be able to squeeze in a Blur date too. Then you've got Muse, Pulp and others. Even Take That would probably do it.

Eavis is a great man with a big heart, I have no doubts that should he not get the Stones then there are plenty of bands that would love to do him a favour.

it would be great if that were right. It's not. Not this year.

It'll be fine as far as I'm concerned...the chances of Eavis booking three headliners I want to see is so small as to be practically zero. And frankly I dont much care who he books - although I object to the Stones as a bunch of money-grabbing, tax-dodging, geriatric has-beens - the identity of the headliners matters not a jot to me

Hello! Newbie here!

I've been reading all these posts about the stones either being offered, or asking for 1mil. & I think it's a little bit extreme. I know eavis is desperate but it's abit over the top! This reminds me of when v-festival supposedly spent 2mil on eminem!

    • When are  the stage splits ??
    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
    • watching clips of the cure in Barcelona, wow 2 hours 25 minute set. That's gonna be tough on the Sunday but can't bloody wait for it
