This will be my first Glastonbury, exams and pushy parents always not allowing it previously. I cannot wait and think this will be an incredible lineup as it is Glastonbury. Everything i've read/seen/heard seems to set it apart from every festival I have ever been to.

Glastonbury is the best thing ever,ive been going on and off since the early nineties and we all love it , took my 13yr old and 6 year old last year and asked them if they wanted to go to spain for 2 weeks holiday or Glastonbury for 5 days instead in 2011. Both said glasto,Who cares who headlines or plays if you love music then get round and see some bands youve never heard of or chill out round the band stand.

People who Mock are ther one who go to V every year because they live near it

I can only add to what everyone else has said. The man and his family have had a massive influence on musical culture in UK over the past sixty years and he still does now. It's incredible how he's produced such an incredible festival.

Tis true, I'll going go have the best weekend of the year, will be bit lost next year and kind of sad I've had 2 in a row But baring the world ending or financial meltdown I'll be getting tickets in 2013 despite my complaining about Beyonce

This is the best thread that's been started for a while so I felt compelled to post. I don't think I can't really add anything that hasn't been said already! Glastonbury is my favourite place on earth, and at this point in my life I don't think there's any other place I'd rather be every summer.

This thread's reminded me that I saw something a bit back with him talking and he said how it's the feedback from happy punters that keeps him going. I resolved at that point to write a brief letter to him and Emily along those lines. I'm on nights Monday and Tuesday so I'll do it then because it needs saying. Some of the very best days of my life have been at Glastonbury

Well said. I love those people who are saying that Emily doesn't get what it's all about... she's only lived there her entire life if I'm not mistaken!

Ok, so I'll admit that this week's headliner news left me feeling a bit deflated, but part of the blame for that must be placed on my shoulders for starting to believe that acts like Prince might actually appear - I admit with hindsight that I was being a bit unrealistic there perhaps!
