Don't dare test fate!

I don't like it but meh I see it as an opportunity to get away from the Pyramid this year, last year I went for the headline act all 3 nights! I think lady gaga would been better for female solo pop act, she seems to have more cross over fans due to her suposed weirdness and would really pulled something very different out I reckon. But Libs or maybe Klaxons headlining John peel would do it for me anyway :P

U2 is still solid and going be great, coldplay I can take or leave so its not a disaster really but it is bit shity.

i am a bit sad. i got my hopes up (stupidly) about the stones and now it just feels a bit flat. swap coldplay and bouncy and it gets a bit better i suppose but given when the lights on the pyramid stage go off on the sunday night that's it for 2 whole years, i am disappointed.

shouldn't whinge though, very excited about the prospects of arcade fire, elbow, etc.

Yeh I know what you mean, and I would have been happy if they had gone with a headliner for "the kids", (obviously I wouldnt have gone to see it though). I just dont reckon beyonce is that popular with the 16-20 year old bracket. Surely she is way too old and past if for them?

This just smacks of glastonbury thinking they are "down with the kids", when in reality they have booked a bit of a has-been, who peaked 10 years ago.

I really don't see The Libertines as playing. They are still only a rumour on the efests page, so there's clearly no really solid info. Also they only got back together for the monies, don't think the Eavii are the sort to throw a Reading/Leeds size wodge of cash around.

Also, what's to say Pulp would only do the sunday?

So from the cleaned up rumours list, could we now be looking at...

Fri:

U2

Arcade Fire

Other

Primal Scream

Sat:

Coldplay

REM

Other

Chemical Brothers

Sun:

Pyramid

Beyonce

Pulp

Other

The Libertines

or something similar?

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
