zero000
Aye I thought it was a nice venue. The floors slanted so it's good views all round.
Amy Lawn
Lovely building, but I find it one of worst offenders for being overstuffed, and they seem to find the most dickish security they can, every single time I've been there I've found myself on the receiving end of unprovoked unpleasantness from them. LondonTom
Lovely building, but I find it one of worst offenders for being overstuffed Is that a trait with all venues called Apollo? I've always found the Hammersmith Apollo like that, it'd be a decent enough venue otherwise but always seems like a few to many people! Comfy Bean
Ocean Colour Scene at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall tonight with fiddles and stuff. Friday afternoon beers in the city :-)
DomDom1984
Looks like Placebo might well be a career spanning hits set two weeks on Sunday, which suits me down to the ground.
russycarps
I saw gruff rhys on wednesday. It was pretty good. The encore made me realise I dont like a lot of his solo stuff though...

russycarps
Any super furry stuff? Don't tell me which though. None. The American interior stuff sounded really good though.

zero000
Went to see kaiser chiefs the other night and was surprised at the MOR nature of the crowd So the crowd matches the band then?
zero000
How so? That would suit me as well. I was wondering this too. They haven't played any gigs this year, so I assume it must be due to their 20th anniversary coming up next year? It's plastered all over their website. DGrant261
War on Drugs at the Albert Hall this week Heard/seen lots of good things about their live performance, time to experience the hype
DomDom1984
Yup, the 20th anniversary celebrations officially kick off with the albums all going onto streaming websites next week. So I'd imagine their tour will reflect that it's the 20th anniversary.
JC-Mo'Fucka
Saw Gentleman's dub club last night just for something to do. Great fun as always.
LondonTom
So the crowd matches the band then? I think thats a bit harsh on them "live". Sure its all a bit gimmicky with Ricky running around lots and shouting but...I wouldn't really expect a MOR crowd for them. It was quite wild at Reading for them in 2012 actually but I spose their core fans who would see them at a gig at are getting older now
atomised
Ash playing 1977 in full at the barfly tonight

Amy Lawn
On Ash Wednesday, the clever bastards. 1977 was the first album I ever bought, so I have a real soft spot for it.
