You're welcome :)

One thing that makes it easier for me personally to forgive, is being grateful I'm not the person I'm trying to forgive. It often lends a bit of compassion to the situation.

They might have messed my head up, but they have to live inside their own permanently.

There's also self preservation reasons too - forgiveness helps to heal the wounded party, and it's the best form of revenge, as you've refused to be poisoned by the toxicity of the person/situation.

Forgiveness carries quite a lot of power with it. And most transgressions tend to leave us feeling powerless, which is why they hurt so much.

I'm not sure whether I'm reading you right. The problem is that you can't really apply normality to my situation. I know that I'm not wrong in drawing these conclusions.

Ferale - I've lost the plot, so got to scarper. Thanks for being their over this last few hours.

All I'm really saying is that forgiveness affect both parties. My own particular experiences meant that I was not at risk of continuing the circumstances that needed forgiveness, so it was easy to distance myself emotionally.

It would have been much more difficult in ongoing circumstances, so is not always possible.

(sorry, I know that's vague).

I hope you find a way to do what's right for you :)

having got the heavily updated new version of eGigs just about nailed. :)

There's probably a day left of pre-install tweaking, then the install and upgrades, and then probably a load more tweaking.

And then I can move onto doing efestivals, with hopefully some good lessons learnt and so fewer cockups. :)

My dad is 74 and he never really got how to use the VCR.

VCRs could be fucking insane. Play and Stop and Rewind are all fair enough, but you look at those old controllers and there's likely fifty buttons. Some real examples:

Blank Search

Index Go/To

A. Sel

T. R.

Q. S.

A. D.

->0<-

One has a button with what appears to be symbols for clock / tape above it, and an A in a box beside it.

The Kindle Fire / Now TV controllers are elegant by comparison: arrows, select, and home.

some of us are old enough to remember pre Windows, and how complicated the print command was.

Which provider and how much, if I might ask?  I'm on 50mb here and very happy with the speed and reliability (virgin cable) but have to admit I'd love to pay a little less as I'm one of those people who doesn't have a TV or phone package so don't get a cheaper subsidised price to hide the line rental costs.

I've just checked a lottery ticket and have found out that I've won £6.20 ( or realistically £4.20 because I already paid £2 for the ticket).

So, in your face those who say that it's an Idiot Tax.

Oh, hold on a minute...... how many tickets did I buy again to get this 'result'?

Became a grand dad today about 3am and the grand dad of twins about 20 minutes later.  Daughter and her boy Mostyn and daughter Frankie all doing OK.

Now a question is what I will be called:  Grandpa, Grand Dad, Pop etc.  I'm leaning towards Grumpy.

I received a letter from HM Revenue & Customs this morning. I put it to the side because every letter I'm getting nowadays is from people wanting money I haven't got. Anyway, I've just opened the letter and it's a cheque for over payment of tax for the sum of £2.5K+.

This means that I shall go to the ball afterall (that rhymes that does). Well, when I say ball, I mean the Something Else in the Dean festival.  Yippeee  :)

Yes, I'm well chuffed feral. I didn't open the letter until much later in the day because I thought it was going to be them telling me that I owed them a load of money, not the other way around. It really couldn't have been sent at a more opportune time as me and the wife currently have £7 in cash to our name (and plenty of debt). :)

Lovely to hear of good news coming your way :)

Just managed to get our daughter into the local princes trust course, hopefully it will give her a bit of routine and build her confidence

Thanks atomised. The downside is that I now have to pay £1K Council tax and I've been sent an email this morning saying the insurance on my campervan is up and that's going to cost me £500. I had some delightful plans for that money too!

Good news for you too with your daughter getting a place on a Prince's Trust course. :)
