Back in time for dinner on BBC2 is absolutely fantastic tv. It's the bbc at their very best, excellent research, superb sets, wardrobe, and all round quality of production.

A typical family are tasked with living the lifestyle of typical British families from the 50's, 60's, 70's etc- living one day for each year of the decade and eating the same food using the same equipment of the day. The bbc also refurbish their home in keeping with the year, and the tv ads and music of the day are used too.

As a historical document of the way life has changed over the years it's simply fascinating. I've only watched the 70's one so far, tonight it is the 80's - which was the first decade I remember with any clarity so I can't wait. Then I'll go back and watch the earlier ones.

I really can't recommend it enough.

Watching Inside No9 made me really want to watch League of Gentlemen again so I just bought the boxset. It's got the Xmas special in. Haven't watched that since the first time it aired, Not sure I'm ready to watch it again yet.

Inside number 9 is one of the best things for television that the British have made for a while, it will hopefully be remembered as a classic. That mime episode from the first series is breathtaking.

I watched the first 3 episodes a week ago, I'll probably wait and watch the next 3 together as well.

I've started watching Danger 5 and it's both the most brilliant and stupid show I've seen in ages. It's made to look like a 60's show feeling like a cross between Bond and Thunderbirds about a team of agents who fight Nazi's and their evil plans like stealing the Effiel Tower.

Finished all 8 series of House (what else is maternity leave for?!) - very silly and very repetitive and he is such an unlikeable protagonist but still miss it a bit. I may have to dig out an ER box set to replace the medical drama shaped hole in my life.

Couldn't get into Fargo at all. Husband liked it (more than the film?! :huh: ) but I didn't find the love. We were the opposite way around about Bloodline which I thoroughly enjoyed although it's a bit of a slow burner, there were some cracking performances.

Started Cucumber (way behind the times...) last night and 2 episodes in we're really enjoying it!

Yeah, watched another five episodes back to back tonight, very funny, just a shame the episodes are so short and I'll probably have to rest of the season watched by tomorrow night ...... good to know there is a second season coming though

      sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.

      Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.

      I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…

      Citizenship via investment programs basically work by saying if you invest this much in our economy (say buy a property worth x) then we will either grant you citizenship or residency with a route to it. The EU has rules on how low countries can set the bar. Montenegro was one of the easier ones to get and they've had to tighten it up.
