new meatraffle tune is brilliant as well, don't seem to be on the lineup so fingers crossed they're the big secret Emily was on about. Great for anyone who enjoys PSYCHEDELIC, SOCIALIST, UTOPIAN, DEATH RAGGA, ERRONEOUS FUNK, TRAPDOOR JAZZ, BASTARD MUSIK

Agreed. Never been to WG on Thurs so wasn't sure how busy it gets. Always just mooch around the more dancie stuff.

It'll be quite busy by Circa Waves/Everything Everything but it's never really as bad as it looks - for some reason it suffers from that stupid mentality of getting in & standing round the edge more than most tents

Was anyone in there for the secret acts last year? Last ones i went to were Metronomy back in 2014 which was rammed but since then there's a lot more stuff going on Thursdays so wondered if it's had any effect

Yeah it wasn't overly busy last year for Rat Boy. Wolf Alice the year before was a bit busier but wasn't too bad once you got inside

One of my mates has just recieved a 7 inch in the post from DFA 1979 with their new single. Pretty cool way of getting it out there

Is it good? Available to the rest of us on Friday, teasers below if no ones heard them.

New DFA1979 mentioned above is in here. Sounds pretty good but nowhere near as immediate a comeback as Trainwreck 1979 was

Hmm it comes together towards the end at least. Sounds like Seb's solo material. Could be a lot better but I'm glad they're releasing another album in the near future.

Been a ferocious past week for bands coming back or announcing firm deets on releases. Half expecting Annie Clark to pop her head out or Wolf Parade to emerge from the shadows. We eatin' fam.

New Thee Oh Sees (well, Oh Sees now apparently according to The Quietus), struck gold with their new drummer

This is fantastic. This band just never stop being great.

Not sure I agree with the change of name, but whatever.

Speaking of name changes (and continued from above), Death From Above are officially just Death From Above again. I know they had some issues with James Murphy on this one so wonder if that's all been smoothed out (I guess so).

Another ear worm from Declan Mckenna

Ah you beat me to it. I'm glad I don't have to do the declan mckenna updates on my own now.

He worked with James Ford on this one. Arctic monkeys vibes at points
