Sigur Ros

I'd rather sit at a Sigur Ros gig, especially one in a theatre. Saving my money for other acts I've not seen recently but I do like the sound of these gigs and hopefully they add a few dates on.

Sigur Ros are one of the few bands I'd happily sit for. No real need to stand - plus sitting up on the balcony of the Apollo would be pretty perfect I reckon.

The Apollo has been very good to me, now that I think of it. Off the top of my head I've seen there; Funeral For A Friend, LCD Soundsystem + Hot Chip, The Smashing Pumpkins, Flaming Lips, The Cribs, Sufjan Stevens, Massive Attack + Young Fathers, and Paul Simon. It's a nice venue inside, and if you have the O2 app then the drink prices aren't too bad for a big venue. I've had a few beefs with security being dicks though.

I usually love the Apollo, but saw Sigur Ros at Jodrell bank a few years back, hard to beat that really, and especially sat down.

I was planning on going to one of the London dates but the prices have forced me to reconsider

If I hadn't seen them a couple of times last year then I might have been able to justify going.

Seen a lot at the Apollo... Green Day, Noel Gallagher, Yes, Chemical Brothers, Arcade Fire, The Pixies & The Offspring to name a few.

It has had a bit of a makeover recently. I went to see Vic & Bob there just before Xmas. Was my first time there in a while.

Last time I saw them standing a seat would have probably improved the experience. It's a long time to stand stock still.

Got tickets for the Sunday  was planning to do the Saturday but still in line in the queue for that as we speak so I imagine if i did get through the seats would be far shitter than what I got (row M in the rear stalls).

Managed to get through on the Saturday and I see there's a £28.75 option which there wasn't when I got through for the Sunday (just £38.75 and £46.25 - got the former). Did they sell out before I got through or were they never an option for the Sunday (which would be weird)?

edit: never mind, they've popped up for the Sunday now. Annoying, but I think my seats are pretty decent so can't complain.

Nevermind, took rear circle. Probably terrible seats but at least slightly cheaper.

because in the words of that scotch tit: FREEEDOMMMMM.

Standing you have the freedom to find yourself a good spot, it's easier to go to the bar, go for a piss (and not have other people going to the bar, going for a piss and disturbing you). Plus you dont know who you might end up sat next to. Might be something ghastly like a talker/someone with BO/a vaccines fan etc. 

the question is, why WOULD you rather sit down?
