I say this every year since I've joined this site, but I just want The Naked and Famous to come along and play some nice songs for everyone. 

 

They're doing all this stuff for Passive Me, Aggressive you, so maybe just MAYBE they will come along. (probably not 😞 )

Realised as well how often recently headline options have returned, some 3, even 2 festivals later and 2 from the same lineup.

 

This year has the options around to be very for me. I'm hoping The Prodigy stick around but wouldn't be surprised of they finish at their tour. The Prodigy doing a closing dance set after someone like SOAD would be class.

Gorillaz have posted one of their recent shows on YouTube. You have to feel at this point that they are the most likely act to play next year, even above radiohead.

Not sure about that actually. Radiohead are popular in several generations: older people like them as well as the tik tok generation. They even entered the Billboard charts recently with a 28 year old song and are growing rapidly on Spotify.  

 

Having said that: Gorillaz would be great too. Perhaps both bands can show up;)

I think Papa Roach and The Offspring are very strong options now for this. Yungblud would have been. TOP probably too though not bothered.

Have to concede 21P are probably likely. Not played since 2022 and I'm not sure I see any headliner that yesr apart from maybe The Killers being there too. Hopefully just in a co-headliner though

And just had a check, they do typically share one of the top names each year but they don’t always headline RW.  For instance TOP were one of the top names in 2022 and Avril Lavigne in 2024 yet were lower than that at RW.  I expect that again with TOP being a co-header or sub

I'm going SOAD, Billie, Mumford and The Cure as the top acts. Mumford or The Cure to co-headline, bit it could easily be SOAD too.

 

I'm going The Offspring, Lorde, KOL, TOP and FATM with one of the latter 3 taking a co-headline role. Vampire Weeekend, Papa Roach, TLDP to be next down.

 

That would comfortably get a ticket

I dont mind them for a couple of songs bit I'm not eager. Their sound is of one as well that doesn't need to be under a rock act or anything, they could play before Billie Eilish for example, they could play before Chappell and considering they played before Imagine Dragons last time, I definitely wouldn't be putting then under a SOAD booking.

They’re very popular so I’d guess they’ll go under the weakest headliner booking unless Werchter decides to have every day stacked next year

I've seen it. Perhaps someone knows anything so i asked on this forum. More people over here i think.... But with Matt just leaving the band i don't think anything will happen next year...

I thought that was their regular artwork and was pretty sure Hurricane/Southside have posted line-ups with that before tbf.

Some festivals are booking 2 years in advance now, was mentioned on 2 promoters one pod that they were having discussions this summer about acts and the booking agents were pushing them for 27

Hasn't it always been like that?

 

Some years acts playing the early summers festival like Glastonbury, Roskilde, Werchter. Then they play later summer ones like Reading, Pukkelpop, Lowlands, Sziget the next/previous year.
