I think this is going to come down to Foos and KOL vs The Cure and Lewis for what will be easier to grab later tickets for.

Yeah, I think I am very set on doing Mad Cool next year now. I think I'll see what of these undercard type bands Rock for People hoover up before making a decision on which of that, Pinkpop and Werchter seems the most viable.

I still am currently but the next drop from Werchter could change it. I think there is more bands MC don't have thay will be harder to get and cost more though than Werchter will. If The Prodigy were main stage, seeing them at MK Bowl instead wouldn't bother me, seeing The Cure on a trip to Cardiff also wouldn't be an issue. Capaldi I'm not sure where without looking I'd go. Truth be told it's unlikely as well I'd head to Leeds for Friday to then drive down to Liverpool the others. I'd rather head to Liverpool friday and explore round the docks and bits, go to the festival. Also on The Prodigy there is an arena tour wher you'll get tickets for so while it's a great booking, The Cure is the big booking there. Lorde is also going to either not be there which is a tick against Werchter or clash with The Prodigy which is also a tick against.

With Editors now around before and after this, they are either going to be 3rd down one day....which one only be Sunday or they'll be the barn again on Thursday or Friday as the other days are gone.

Werchter Classic for Editors?

Not big enough now are they?, that's at least a co-headliner job isnt it?

Editors dropping down to a barn headliner in 2023 which is about 3rd down main suggests they wouldn't headline classic but a classic would headline Werchter.

Doesn’t seem so (I presume they’d have to headline it)

A few years back Paul McCartney and The Killers were playing there. It was canceled but something like that is still possible perhaps? Editors with another  (bigger) act.

Interesting comment on festileaks about it:

Some people here are going to be so disappointed tomorrow. 🫣

I'm honestly starting to wonder what the point of those day events in 2026 is, if it all boils down to a 2025 déjà vu.

I know there is differences in audiences etc… but god when I see Kasabian headlining a £300 festival (Boardmasters) and they’ll be about 5th at Werchter I do thank my lucky stars

Good aspect of going to non uk fests, Kasabian pkay lower on bills. Never got the Kasabian hype.

On another note, belgian government has presented new budgets recently, and the VAT on festival / concerts tickets is set to double (from 6 to 12%). Not sure if this affects Werchter's tickets as I don't see them changing price after sale has started, but the food price will also face the same VAT increase unfortunately.

For alcoholic drinks; no updates on the VAT, and a decrease from 21 to 12% for non-alcoholic drinks, but I doubt anty festival will decrease prices for these.

The belgian governement keeps hitting the cultural sector sadly...

Editors aren’t playing this btw, announced for all the 3 smaller Belguim festivals this morning

What are the three smaller festivals out of interest?

Update: Nevermind, found them sorry.
