EOTR 2025 line-up discussion

Feels like something (FJM tour rollout?) has forced them into going early with this - notice that everyone after the headliners is listed alphabetically which isn't what they usually do. I've had a go at working out where they'd go in a clashfinder and it's notable how there's nobody we'd expect on Folly or Boat and few in Big Top, which is where all the depth the festival has recently prided itself on has gone.

(I've gone Sunday with Father John as he's in Glasgow on Thursday and Moseley Folk on Saturday so it makes more sense to continue down the country)

looks like this isn't too hard to get tickets for I take it that we would be able to still get them in early May for a family of 4 if we are unsuccessful in the glasto resale.

Very likely, it doesn't usually sell out until July or second half of June at earliest (last year it went right to the week of the festival)

I might be late to this, but the EOTR website now has some day and stage split labels on the artists listed. Squid and GOAT both playing the Woods stage, but had been thought of as Garden headliners (by me anyway).

Sofia Kourtesis on Woods in daylight is odd and Sunday peters out a bit (surely FJM subbed by BCNR would work better?) but really I like the look of this, not too many huge clashes for me.

I'm worried Sofia is gonna cancel, she's been pulling dates recently as her mum is ill

Seems to work pretty well for my tastes... not too many nightmare clashes. DIIV v Bdrmm is very weird though... surely they have a huge crossover in fanbase? I'm happy with Matt Berninger and BCNR as Garden stage headliners but will have to find something to kill the time during Self Esteem v Viagra Boys.

Agreed on DIIV vs bdrmm, shame but hopefully they will be staggered a little bit so it’s possible to catch some of both 🤞🏻

The festival has said in a reply on IG that they don't clash, so I've moved everyone on that stage back a spot on the clashfinder (there was a space left compared to last year but I assumed that was because they hadn't booked a replacement for Ezra Feinberg)

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
