Are The Killers not that popular in France? I kinda thought they were at least an arena level band in most places by now. The UK is undoubtably their biggest market though

There can be strange quirks with these things tbf. Kings of Leon didn't play a single show in France at all between 2009 and 2024 (although they did draw a big crowd to a Paris show last summer).

If they paid for Foo Fighters - a massive stadium headliner, why would they pay for Pulp to sub.

Just makes no financial sense.

TITP 2011 made no financial sense ! Insane lineup.

We didn't appreciate how good we had it in 2011 huh. MCR being headliners at Reading yet only being third on before Foos and Pulp is f**king wild. Same with The Strokes subbing Swedish House Mafia on the second stage then doing a Reading headliner.

What are we thinking now for this? Foos seem nailed on. Not sure who else though. Maybe Sabrina & Fender? Every other act seems to be doing something else. I reckon Florence might do Victorious instead of this.

Sabrina not popping up at any other festivald thus far makes me think she isnt about, Fender said hes doing nothing next year, but someone rightly said he'd probably rock up if asked.

Personally Im expecting the other 2 headliners to be exclusive in some way.

I just think it’d be weird if Sabrina didn’t come over next year with her album out this year. Almost all festivals in August not announced anything yet too so she could defo still come over for them & some other shows. I just struggle to think of who the female headliner they’ll get as I’d imagine they’ll want one. My guess from who’s about would be Florence at Victorious, Lorde at APE. Is there any potentials I’m discounting? FYI I think Wolf Alice will sub so not forgotten them.

She'll probably do a Wembley show.
I still recon Justin Bieber is in with a shout likely with Skrillex under him.

I still wouldn't be surprised to see Yungblud given a shot here probably as a co-head mind with a female. There again has a big tour which has a date at Leeds so maybe one for 2027.

Think Foo's and Dave will be two of the headliners.

I think the Florence suggestion is a good shout for Victorious, there is some history of crossover there from the middle summer European festivals.  Whereas it's pretty rare I think if at all that they do Reading the same year. There is likely an example missed lol and this year will prove me wrong. Im just not sure I see her there as the best booking and 2023 which is a year with options in there where Florence would have fit didn't exactly fly out in sales.

Reading could book a weekend of dance, d&b and probably sell well.

Fender deffo teams some time off, seems to have been everywhere for the best part of a decade now!

Was just thinking back to the fact Post Malone said he would be back in the UK next summer. I suspect its BST but, is there a chance that we could see

Post Malone

Florence / Lorde cohead

Foo Fighters

I wouldnt lock it in as my prediction as I dont think it feels very current but I was just thinking Post is pretty crowd pleasing and has that crossover of the Pop/Rap/Country crowds.

    • Ah, that is interesting and ruins my theory a bit!!   I think my point just about holds though, and coming full circle on this discussion, being a sizable band such as Muse and not being able to sell out two O2 dates very quickly or at all doesn’t fill me with confidence that they be able to do a decent job selling a stadium tour…although maybe if Muse do something about their pricing, maybe they can!
    • I’ve said it elsewhere too but Emily Eavis said a 2028 headliner was booked, to me that’s only going to be someone the size of Oasis or Taylor Swift
    • Christ didn't even see that!
    • It does feel very bland. It would certainly spell another year (my third, I think) away from Pyramid headliners for me. That doesn't mean they aren't worthy, though. I don't follow what any of them are up to, as it isn't my thing. Good luck to them.   You would think coming off a fallow year, they would want one big hitter. 'Big hitter' is obviously open to debate, but that was/is Madonna. Let's have it right. The eggs have gone in that basket, and it seems (as far the rumours go) that it's blown up. So now you're left with another plan B/replacement headliner.   I'm still of the opinion that Oasis will do it, before the Oasis thing is all said and done. Probably 2028, if they can come to an agreement. It may transpire that 2027 is bland (or at least to some of us), and 2028 is a bit... wild.   Again, though, none of us categorically know ANY of the headliners, as it stands.
    • Second go.....    Still f**king fantastic - Well done WIlliam Orbit -  Bugman & Trimm Trabb mega tracks - No Distance Left To Run hauntingly Beautiful
