Glastonbury will not have a problem shifting tickets in the resale after the fallow year.  It may not attract much new blood but there's plenty of people who want to be back there regardless.

If the new blood is meaning younger crowd then yes. If you want Reading Fest 2.0 then yes.

Yep.  She's now in the convo.  Only playing a big set in 25 to count against her.

Can now see Fender and Raye being in the 2028 conversation.

Chappell / Fontaines / Fender + Stevie Nicks would be the youngest headline trio ever and a timeless legend.

You bring up a good point - the festival does like to have at least one classic act on offer as a headliner, even if that act is coldplay haha.   Nevertheless, I could see them going for 3 young headliners just because.  Especially after Neil's low turnout.

I could also see Oasis ending this reunion tour at Glasto - whenever that is - it would be fitting to have the last date on the pyramid.  I think Harry Styles wants it.  Just a matter if he can line it up.  Rumours say the new record is on it's way.

Here's where I think I could be wrong.

Chappell has said that if you're waiting for her to make another album, its going to be a while.  She writes slow, and will release singles.  All of these successful songs of hers took a long long time to make.  So, she may or may not have a record in time.

If not Chappell, then maybe Taylor if she still cares to.

The Chappell points seems to be getting passed by. She would not be in my reckoning for 27 but not totally rules out, 28 more likely.

The last suggestion for 27 was they were loosely I'll say going for Foos and with June shows over here next year, their own big shows would clear the way and the info was attached to that. Taylor Swift was also added to that information. I think she could be 27 or 28. I would also add Oasis to that. They can 100% get those 3 if they agree and it might just well be a case that app 3 are around together. But it would also be a case of the year after expecting a big drop. But while they wouldnt be for me, Raye is selling big, Fender sells big, Chappell will be and The Cure. I will say on The Cure that they are least likely for 28 of they've played both 26 and 27 in England whether Glastonbury was on for 26 or not. You don't want an act on a 3rd year of touring. With them out, Fender, Raye and Chappell becomes a year they can also get into two females selling big. We also know they will try and book two females.

I really think people are overlooking Lewis Capaldi as being one of the headliners.

Also there’s already been mention that one of the 2028 headers is booked.  That’ll surely only be Oasis or Taylor Swift as It’ll only be a huge act that far in advance

I dont think Capaldi will headline Glastonbury yet, I think purely the amount of people in a slot that is much harder to replace. I know he's doing better but it'll be a sub slot in my view in 2027. He'll make sure he's completely sorted and worked his way up the massive crowds and do it the following time out is my guess. I don't doubt he could do it but it would be a booking with precaution.

I think there’s a damn good chance of him tbh … do this short set for us to see how you get on and we will have you headline when we come back . He’s sold out multiple venues and had extra dates added . Think that’s a very good shout

Raye to me depends on if they gave her the boosted slot this year from playing PP for them or that’s been banked for the future in which case I could see her in the next one

Doubt for 2027 but Raye has announced a sixth night at the O2 arena, reckon those numbers look very likely for her to be a headline contender in the next few years.

Aye she's definitely on the way there with this kind of live track record, but like you say, maybe more for 2028 given she literally just did a Pyramid sub-head slot this year.

mad to me how different things are for Raye in the UK vs America.

02 Capacity is 20K, six nights. Here in New York she's doing 2 nights at radio city which is barely 6K (granted, they are both sold out) and theatres half that size throughout the rest of the country.  That's quite an achievement for any artist, dont get me wrong, but going by american numbers alone you wouldnt guess she'd be headlining festivals anywhere.  fairplay to her. I reckon if she continues this trajectory she will absolutely be headlining the pyramid at some stage.  '28 is more likely in my mind.

Is it mad?  Karol G is headlining Coachella but she'd do well to do an arena date here.

Mad in the sense that I just don't think Americans have caught on to Raye at the same rate as Brits and Europeans. Surely they will eventually.

Yes - but my point is that that goes both ways.

Otherwise you wind up like Suprefan furious that Glastonbury isn't being headlined by Peso Pluma

Both LG and NG have been slagging the fest off recently so not sure. Could all just be waffle though, hard to know esp with LG

Chappell is two singles into whatevers next. It will definitely be here by June 2027!

    • I was also at Ghost but seated. When they scanned my ticket's and they came up as seated they printed a small ticket with the seat number info.
    • I was standing for Ghost at O2 London last year where they put the phone in a pouch beforehand so I assume they're is a mechanism in place for people in seats.
    • Most likely not, keeping an eye on Tixel and Twickets might be the best option.
