Good opportunity for the crowd to show up with Palestine flags.

I'll be taking one for sure. Love Radiohead's music, but their fence-

sitting (dare I even say pro-Israel) stance on the Palestinian genocide is revolting.

Hasn't Thom criticised that government multiple times? Ed literally called for a ceasefire on his socials.

I'm all for Palestinian flags on the site of course, but c'mon.

Thom walked off stage because someone was shouting something to do with Gaza and they've played live in Israel, despite mass calls for a boycott. Johny Greenwood played in Tel Aviv as bombs were being dropped on Rafah.

I'd call that tacit support.

Support what, a 'country'? Yorke -quite literally- claimed he doesn't support the Israeli government. Multiple times.

He can "state" whatever he likes, but when he's going to the place and playing gigs, anyone with half a brain can see that would kinda delegitimise said claims!! Whenever asked about it, he gets snotty and refers to Johny having an Israeli wife - the same wife who posts zionist propaganda talking points.

His Twitter feed is full of pro-Ukraine/anti-Russia posts - further evidence his knowlede on foreign affairs needs brushing up - but when it comes to Gaza, deafening silence. There's no room for neutrality when thousands of children are being blown to pieces by a racist, blood-thirsty regime that's attempting to ethnically cleanse the indiginous people of the region. f**k any band that wants to support that!

The only think he is on record of saying is that he does not support Nerenyhu.

That's not silence that's an opinion and certainly not one that concurs with your theory that he supports the Genocide sorry.

Worth reading deeper than the headlines sometimes.

Remember that Israel has a far right government- does not mean every Israeli person is also far right.  Our government supports Israel (assuming you are from the UK) does that mean by proxy you are pro-Israel.... I dont think it should

I can guess which ones attended the Radiohead gig in Tel Aviv where he was critical of there government???

Greenwood's last album contribution was to Jarak Qaribak, which collaborated artists across the region, including Palestine. According to its wiki page, he said the album was "working together across borders", and he also appeared at an anti-government protest. So he sounds very pro-peace for all across the region from what I've seen.

But, given the fact that Nick Cave (accompanied by Colin) has shared additional solo dates going all the way until September, I assume a potential tour won't be starting until late October.

I still don't want to believe the tour talks are legit. Would be the biggest music news in years for me.

Jonny Greenwood is married to an Israeli, which makes things slightly complicated to be vocal about. How they are pro-Israeli just for not being very anti-Israeli does not make sense

Jonny was literally playing shows with musicians that are palestinian a week ago. Are you the knob that snuck under the stage and tried to jump up there in 2017? Cause you can f**k right off.

Cause they played some gigs there. And nobody is allowed to do that at all. Maybe no band should ever play in America or Britain because of the sh*t they dont either. Almost no countries left that are human rights violators.

I was at that gig (in Melbourne).

The guy interrupted the encore and was shouting for ages. Thom invited him up on stage to repeat what he said. The guy just kept shouting. Thom had a crack at him for pissing on everyone's night and walked off stage for a bit. Not sure what he was supposed to do in that situation.

The Palestinian BDS campaign and the Artistic and Cultural Boycott are non violent responses to the occupation and the resulting apartheid system - not due to something as vague and wooly as 'human rights violations' (which, as you point out, most countries are guilty of).

A closer comparison would be Queen playing Sun City, which you would either have to defend on the same basis or be a hypocrite.

Culture-washing / art-washing is a large component of Israeli propaganda and by refusing to participate in or grant credence to non-violent methods acts like Radiohead and Nick Cave up the chances of less palatable actions by the Palestinians.

Absolutely spot on. Libs don't understand basic politics like this though.

Exactly - if someone is shouting *anything* during an intimate performance like that it's going to be pretty f**king annoying/off-putting. There's a lot of wilful ignorance going around about it just because people love to be offended.

This... Israel is doing preciely this. I've seen Israelis on a Reddit thread talking about artists who boycott playing there, and then saying something along the line sof "at least we still have Radiohead"... So while many people on this thread don;t seem to think Radiohead support Israel, Israelis seem to think differently.

Oh wow, maybe he also follows a few arabs on Instagram and ate a falafal sandwich before he arrived, too. That would add about as much weight to your argument, you complete and utter bell end! lol
