The Bends, OK, MSP, In Rainbows... Not overrated but massively overrated? Not a chance!

Would absolutely love to see them on the Pyramid Stage

Never understood the hype. Always came across very boring and dull (dull is perhaps what they're after)

Ah naw, if they they put out a greatest hits set, it would be something as the sun sets.

Could be right, i've not given them enough of a chance and who knows could enjoy them live in that setting

Radiohead are like a magic eye poster -  some people will try and can never make out the picture and some people will see its a thing of beauty.   I absolutely love them especially Hail To The Thief that album is the one for me.

Definitly not instant satisfation music has to be given a lot of time and allow them to grow on you.

Love that analogy.

Also, agree Hail To The Thief is underrated.

I would add I hated that album for the 5 years.  but i never stopped listening to it - eventually it just became brilliant.

I know the general critique of it is it's too long / got too much padding etc. And sure, its not as perfect / concise as say, In Rainbows or Kid A. But the highs are very very high.

I wouldn't necessarily agree with that, but I'd say a lot of their stuff post-OK and Bends has been bigged up a lot because of their previous successes.

Ooh Controversial statement that,  I think most people would generally put In Rainbows and Kid A as better albums than the Bends .  If you were putting the albums in order.......  I mean i get it was great in its day - but they got better.

Personally for me Id put  Amesiac & Hail To The Thief has better albums a swell

While I get that some people are less keen on the experimental direction they went in -  I don't think the Bends has any lingering effect on Radioheads future career or fanbase.  If anything as opposed to bigging up fans of that album perhaps drifted away from them when KID A came out.

Obviously OK Computer tops any list you will find and probably deserves to

Nah, it's The Bends all the way for me.

Anyone any idea if the Thom Yorke gigs currently on the other side of the world could come to the UK? Or even Glastonbury?

i mean he has to decide to do more shows. I dont see why he would not. Theres clearly demand. He is still not in Radiohead mode. Jonny's health is still a big question mark so might as well keep at this. Do you put him as Park or West Holts though. Its just him and his gear. There would be loads of quiet parts so maybe The Park is the better placement.  His production is not small either so maybe you do need more screens to show that.

Thom Yorke headlining The Park one night would be mega. Closing on the Sunday night, please! 🤞

Park all the way, though he will obviously have to deal with hecklers, one imagines.

And Stonebridge creating an absolute racket. (Worked there last year and my ears still have PTSD... All the ear plugs in the world couldn't stop the onslaught.)

Yeah I love the Stonebridge but itas a bit of a killer if you actually want to watch a Park act -   I feel its just got too big for its location and could do with be moved to a new location -

Where, is the question. Logistics already pretty squeezed around the site, and moving it to a new spot could further encourage a greater footfall.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Don't honestly think we'll see Radiohead on the farm again for a good few years. A potential shout for the tail-end of whatever tour they do eventually return to, or even later. 2029 or 2030 at a push.
