They aren't, it is just that there is some activity that suggests they might tour later this year and people are either trolling or getting carried away.

Radiohead don't need Jonny Greenwood to play.  They could have guest spots from other great guitarists on the bill like Nile Rodgers or Babydaddy from Scissor Sisters.

Given they've no new album to promote what will their setlist be like?  I'm thinking they could do an Eras Tour style set where they come on as each era and do the hits from that period.

That seems very un-radiohead thing to do. Can't see them doing an album anniversary show ever either.

 

My guess is there is an EP/Album done; and quick-released before the dates or perhaps after and the dates showcase the new material.

the 2006 and 2002 tours give insight into that. They play new songs along with whatever else. They dont need a new album, this would be all about testing out whatevers coming next. Nowadays the process and evolution is as follows. Song gets written, performed live a certain way, back to the studio to record, released on album, sounds diff on album, performed on following tour and sounds different than album and first  live version. 
 

Enough of the Eras thing, thats not a new format at all, been done plenty before that tour ever existed. IF they did something to acknowledge Kid A and The Bends then theyll lean heavily into that material. The one thing we lost with Covid was that they had been planning on doing a variant of the 2000 tent tour that happened around the release of the album. It might point towards what could happen in the fall IF this actually happens.

I actually went to that 2000 tent tour and the audience were unenthusiastic and vocally pissed off by the setlist being dominated by new songs and unreleased mid Amnesiac cuts like Dollars and Cents.

Yeah you are right,  I've seen them tour pre album and play stuff from it that is unreleased. I think that they would likely drop a few new ones in alongside a regular set. They tend to vary their sets anyway so it'll just be their usual mix.

they dont ever repeat a setlist  anyway. on the 2006 tour they were swapping 10 songs out a night pretty much.
