Hozier is waaay bigger than Fender, outside of probably the UK.

Sam Fender played as a sub to a medium size audience in 2023. I was literally able to casually walk up to about 20 meters from the stage.

I don’t understand the discussion about him being even a potential headliner.

Hozier? No clue. It feels to me that most people here only know one song maaaybe two and even that’s a cover

Just looking at Pukkelpop. They shared 15* names with Sziget last year and made their main announcements at end of Jan/beginning of Feb. If they do the same this year, it might give us some strong ideas about who will be in announcement two.

*Fred Again.., Stormzy. Fontaines DC, Artemas, Blondshell, Sam Smith, Goldband, Skrillex, Raye, Grandson, Barry Can't Swim, Marc Rebillet, Crystal Fighters, Dead Poet Society, Becky Hill.

I came across some recent TikTok videos from Justice where they explain about their light show and how complicated, well thought out and important, integral part of their show.

Yeah there is no way they are playing on the main stage during daylight.

They either get forced into the Revolut stage or either Revolut or Party Arena will get bigger.

with the subs announced so far i would also expect an upgrade of a stage. or they just "bump up" justice. 3of the 5 announced "subs" are on the 7th., and so far i could only think of something like

nelly - ??? - justice on the main

brejcha revolut

kind of strange so far

Is interesting,  they may be increasing size of revolut or arena to have bigger acts on after main.   That would be awsome.  So justice could be on at 12-1.30am after headliner.

maybe they are moving arena and revolut closer together so in the night the revolut stays busy when it goes electro.   Revolut very empty by 2.30-3

No way. Unless there is a headliner who cancells last minute, Justice will remain a sub or a small stage headliner.

Nelly sub, Justice Revolut, Boris party arena I think

Wet Leg are playing at Oya on the 7th and Way Out West (8th or 9th), BUT not Flow Festival (Aug 8-10).

You know, why... because by that time they must be in Budapest already!

We know why... they're heading to Boardmasters, not Sziget.

What about Haim? They seem to only be booked for Primavera so far

After the "who?" of the first announcement I'm not holding my breath for anyone in announcement two.

As long as we don't get another 30 plus EDM acts with 100k monthly Spotify listeners each, I'll be happy.

I remember Leaks sayin' Franz ferdinand and Nothing but thieves being targets.

Question : after the NBT success in 2023, I understand some bands CAN be back only 2 years after. It already happenned ; but would NBT be able to get their first headline spot, like Dua Lipa 2018 .. ? or do you guys think only as a sub-head for now ?

Sub for sure... them headlining would be so underwhelming. But I would bet on both NBT and FF not being there as their tour schedule is already quite busy and it just doesn't look very likely logistics-wise...

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
