Also, they're recruiting small Italian bands on Facebook. Maybe there will be small, nation-specific stages as well?

Damn, I wish they would bring back Coma Cose at Sziget. They were few years ago on Europe Stage I think and I remember that the atmosphere was crazy during their gig, the crowd was incredible especially during this song:

Btw they are advertising Sziget by claiming there will be 500+ artists, did we already have that much last year?

Light Stage always has lots of Italian bands for some reason so they will be there.

The reason is that the organizers of the Light Stage schedule are the guys from Alternativa Events who are Italians. In the past, they also had a dedicated camping area, called Alternativa Camping, with "Italian hospitality". Back then they were involved in the Europe Stage schedule, as they put that stage close to their camp side.

they are doing a video series confirming  days and so far only mainstage. yesterday nelly furtado, 7th, mainstage.

Hopefully, it will alleviate fears that they haven't already half-filled the main stage with some of the smaller acts announced.

Hopefully.....

Syd For Solen in Copenhagen (same week as Sziget, last year they shared a few names) just announced Sam Fender, Confidence Man and Overmono for their Friday program. It also seems like the name under Sam Fender on the lineup is Hozier. Would you like any of these on Sziget? We had Overmono in 2024 and Confidence Man in 2023, but wouldn't say no to any of them

I'm a big fan of Sam Fender. First saw him in 2018 at a tiny venue in Leeds (capacity around 150) and seen his popularity grow and grow. Seen him six times, most recently last month. I would love for him to be there.

That said, judging by the reaction to him being announced as headliner at Rock Werchter and Nos Alive, his UK popularity does not appear to translate into mainland Europe so I'd understand if others don't share my enthusiasm.

As for Confidence Man, they're such an entertaining act that I defy anyone to not be delighted by them being announced!

It’s not Hozier because the same word is also repeated under Confidence Man and Overmono so must mean something else (like ‘name’ or ‘TBA’).

I really like Hozier so I would be very happy if he's added to the lineup. I'm not sure if they would put him as a standalone headliner or co-headline with someone like Fender or before a Dj

Hozier and Sam Fender together as co-heads would be great, but Hozier has almost ten times the number of monthly Spotify listeners compared to Fender so suspect he would want the main slot.

Can't imagine Fender being happy with a glorified sub slot given that he's headlining every other festival he's playing this summer.

With Justice and Nelly Furtado both playing the same day, does this mean Justice will be playing a38/revolut or could it be a case of Nelly subbing, with a Justice closing set?

Difficult to predict until we know what the new plans for the festival are. Will there still be an A38/Revolut stage? Your guess is as good as mine!

Hozier has never played in Hungary, perhaps its 1 country he does nothing.

Would be a massive jump from never playing Hungary to headliner. If he was a huge headliner around the world I'd say yeah, but is about the size of fender.

Judging by his tours, it's the American market he is after.

Hozier is waaay bigger than Fender, outside of probably the UK.

If the stages remain the same, Justice would be too big for the Revolut stage. Maybe Nelly could take the 17:30 slot, and Justice the 19:15?

I’m thinking there might be a bigger Party arena this year. Think about it, Armin also not headlinig. Where does he fit? Sub headliner? That’s strange to me. Daylight Armin show? Then yes, Justice is a bit big for Revolut, but also not great in the daylight on the main stage, plus no way Nelly is playing 3rd down from headliner.

    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
    • Similar feelings to a few others on here. Not my personal favourite edition but a long way from giving up on it. Felt overcrowded at times and there are just too many people there that don't seem to like music that much! Hardly went to main stages which was the plan. Highlights Ralphie Choo, rusowsky, Gorillaz, Geese, Gelli Haha, The Sophs, PinkPantheress, Dijon. Accommodation booked for next year. Thanks for your company and comments over the past year.
