Managed to get 4 front standing on my Gigs and Tours booking then panicked as our mate is coming with us but she got lucky too via Ticketmaster. They have tweeted to say you can’t go into general if you have front standing so I presume it will be split 50/50 or 40/60 as it will need own bars / toilets etc if doing it that way.

To put it another way, "General Admission" must be f**king miles back..

Yeah, and in a venue where the sound levels are so bad it's barely worth being there at the back. It'll be so quiet you'll hear all the football chanting and conversations

not sure about other venues and obviously heaton park is a special case but the Edinburgh dates definitely split the standing front & back but it wasn't like that for the full sale iirc (when I got on trying for my mates it was just standing then tried again later and they'd split it to front/back standing) so unsure how that's going to work if they sold loads of just GA standing then decided to add a standing split and people then bought back only as it was all that was available etc.

We’ve ended up with 11 in the front, and 9 in the back, it’s gonna put an awkward feel on the day now, this whole Oasis thing has been a shambles from start to finish.
I know someone from Ticketmaster tweeted to say that from the front section you couldn’t access GA, but that just seems mental to me.

8 in the front, 8 in the back.

Going to have to be a really big front pen if completely standalone areas.

What do people think the percentages might be? Really curious if it's like a 50/50 split. If front has its own bars/toilets, it's going to be a fair whack.

was at Sam fender at SJP at weekend which had a front you couldn't leave once entering and own bars/toilets and that must have been close to 50/50. Course that was just first come first served so no drama.

Yeah the group splits I'm reading indicate 50/50. So when you add the feral lot pushing to the front of the general admission, those of us who don't want to get caught in a crush are going to be WAY back.

Both our groups got in the front section which obviously Im happy about, but don't like the idea of being penned in all day, especially as our coach is dropping us off quite early. Hoping theres a decent boozer or 2 in the vicinity as don’t really want to have to travel into Manchester and back again.

if its really like that then they probably have it first come and such. but hopefully you get a wristband to be in the front. the queues will be madness to get up there though.

From the sound of everyone who has had experience with this they will have full facilities in the front standing area so its not like youre trapped. think of it as a mini festival and you just get the prime viewing area and all the perks along with it.

Yeah potentially just seems weird to have added that towards the end of the sale when they had been just selling GA standing but then later could only buy back standing so some folk must have tickets that only allow them to stand at the back (or that they think only allow them to be in the back bit), very confusing how it's gonna work!

Thankfully I have hospitality tickets and good seats so don't need to worry about any of that nonsense.

OASIS PRE PARTY AT THE OSTRICH | ACROSS THE ROAD FROM HEATON PARK

Join us for the ultimate Oasis pre-party event at the Ostrich, located across the road from Heaton Park.

With indoor and outdoor bars, our pub has a large beer garden, it's the ideal spot to soak up the sun and get yourself ready for the event of the year.

Gates open at 11am. We have a DJ at every event from 2pm on our outdoor stage, playing up until the evening with all the sounds of Manchester bands, getting you geared up for Oasis.

You can also grab a bite to eat with a food van serving burgers and hot dogs.

For those not going to the event, you can stay and party till close in the buzzing atmosphere.

It's going to be epic, see you there.

Can I ask where you got the info about the pitch split at Edinburgh? Ticketmaster is still showing just one area of General Admission from what I can tell and no info via emails etc

We're a group of 2 and in the back GA section for Saturday 12th - that was a SEE tickets order.  Thinking Manchester for the vibes and getting hammered heading down on the train then enjoying a better viewing experience at Murrayfield a few weeks later.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
