Probably tomorrow so you get the full 7 days til next tuesday and arent being cut off while still on site on Monday. Funny thing is I swear I thought the app update that came today was going to include that.

Lol wtf. So where did you have to go to sign up for the trial period then.  I dont think they had an active link on their own website for the promo. Thats some bullshit. Say the festival isnt doing it at all or further advertise what you had  going on.

Not sure it’s happening might be worth a backup plan

Pretty certain that there's some kind of disconnect between the question and the answer there. There wouldn't have been any point for a Glastonbury person signing up for a 7 day trial on 9th June..

Vodafone have previously said they'll be doing a trial at Glastonbury, but it's quite possible there's no information on it until they open up on Wednesday. Their recent London trial was accessed by going to a specific location to trigger it and it'd make sense to do the same here rather than have people able to sign up from anywhere.

wtf - i've been keeping an eye out!

any other alternatives at this late stage?!

I got a £5 esim from Lyca a couple days ago. Just check their plans online. It was for 30 days and 30gb. Unless youre set on getting a vodafone plan then you can google search some things and find a deal.

I switched to ID recently (3 network) and it's been the worst decision of my life leaving EE. Don't hold much hope of having any signal at the festival as I rarely have any despite phone displaying 5g on the screen.

I've just gone with them to get a cheap new phone  - hasnt been too bad but relying on the free trial with VF for this weekend once I'm down there. Was hoping to setup the esim

Yeah that was the reason I switched so I could get a decent device for my videography stuff. I get away with it in Leeds but it's quite spotty. When I go back to my hometown I may as well not take my phone.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
