Most if not all runs since Weds night have gone for a much cooler and wetter picture.

 

Today we've moved towards more consistent heavy rain also.

 

It's not over but there's a genuinely rainier and colder pattern baked in now.

Just been reading up about this AI model called GraphCast which (from my understanding) is open source software provided by Google and is currently in use by the ECMWF.

Interestingly this model does bring the low in but with more of a definite N/S split, probably bringing in humid and possibly thundery conditions on the Thursday, however, a beautiful ridge of high pressure coming up from the Azores for Friday & the weekend. 

 

Just figured it was another interesting model to be considered!

GFS 18z is horrific, belting it down overnight into Thursday as well now, 100% mudbath conditions. That’s enough for today I think.

18Z in short:

 

Pretty much dry Wednesday bar showers.

Thursday now a COMPLETE sh*t show.

Then dry all weekend Fri to Sun.

Temps: Fri 17, Sat 18-19, Sun 19-20
