Franky
Apologies if this has has already been started but I hadn't seen one and just wanted to get the ball rolling :) I haven't managed to get a ticket since 2017 but wanted to put a few favorites on here that I am hoping to see at next years festival. Please do post your favorites, the location (as best you can remember 😉), and if you have it a pic! For me its......... The Meze stall, in the Park I think The Cheese toasty truck, cannot remember where I was lol The Steak and Raclette stand, cannot remember where I was (see a theme here) Pie and Mash stall, somewhere near the Other Stage I think Enjoy everyone, I look forward to reading these over the coming months. 😋 Edited November 28, 2022 by Franky
WestCountryGirl
Crumble Shack. Opposite Left Field stage. Can't locate a picture right now but every serving is tremendous!
Scrump
Oooh nice thread! Off the top of my head... No Bones Jones VFC (for those hungover moments) Mac n cheese , anywhere any how. I'm not fussy, just gimme! dhal at the goan curry stall at west holts on a separate note I was underwhelmed by the crumble shack last year. Will go again in '23 to collect more data! BlueJeansAndWhiteTshirts
This reminded of the epic food with pictures thread. Some great recommendations in here. +1 for the Raclette stall (between WG and pyramid, possibly?)
TheBoz
+1 for the Rac Shack by the Pyramid too. I hope Le Grand Bouffe are back this year too. Only Jerkin in West Holts was also top-tier
CiaranMc
The ultimate service anyone could do for the masses would be to make a food map. 1
Alvoram
There's only one stall I would be extremely upset not to see return, and that's the crumble shack... Sure there were some nice food options, some probably nicer than the Crumble Shack to be fair... But they all have various alternatives around site... There is no real alternative option (that I found) to the Crumble Shack when you just want a really nice traditional pudding!!! Plus, my friends who've been going for years but missed out in 2020/2022, don't seem to have heard of it, and they'll love it, so can't wait to take them in 2023! eatingglitter
I’m excited for Taste of Tibet Momos! Had them at victorious a few years ago and they were amazing. Unfortunately they didn’t return as the organisers wanted a cut of all the food stall revenues. The fact they are almost always at glasto makes me super happy though! Franky
Oooooh yes I forgot the Goan Fish Curry stall! And of course Le Grand Bouffe, a classic! Soooooooooo Hungry now lol
CJB
The Poutine stand (somewhere between The Other and The Pyramid) holds a special place in my heart
BambooShanks
The Jerk Fried Chicken stand by The Other Stage was pretty damn good. I was a bit concerned at first as it looked too commercialised but it ended up being the finest jerk chicken I had that weekend.

p.pete
Not sure I've ever spotted the Crumble Shack - a couple of mentions here so definitely need to give that a go this year! I don't think I've done too many desert / pudding type things over the years, that's going to change 🙂 Always have a kedgeree at least once and some other curry at least once from Goan in WH - after that I can be fairly scatter-gunned. If you really want fry-up type stuff then the Tor Rugby people by the Cabaret tent is a good option. There's (has been at least) a really nice bakery usually somewhere near greenfields that do some great focaccia bread. Women's Institute usually somewhere around green futures field(ish) - lots of cake. Food at Permaculture is amazing - there's a cafe with some really interesting veggie-type stuff (haha, not selling that, I'm not vegetarian but their stuff is great), and some other tasty things often been cooked over an open fire - lovely place to spend time in general, even better with food. Rennies at the ready, I think I'll be taking some notes from this thread.
balti-pie
Only jerkin in West Holts were absolutely top drawer. I had a bit of my mate's on the wednesday and thought i'd save it for maximum deployment, when i was starving and desperate for lovely chickeny goodness- and saturday at about 1pm was my time. Bit of a queue, and not cheap, but worth every single delicious second. Top 3 fried chicken experiences of my life, i'd say, absolutely majestic. Crumble shack was the only stall i went to twice over the weekend, and bah gawd it was good - cherry with roasted nutty topping and custard was the standout winner, but i will be trying a few other permutations assuming they're back. i missed manic organic last time, for their huge and great breakfasts and the coconut, sweet potato and chickpea curry they do in the evenings - its always at its best after headliners and before nighttime stuff. Come back, i miss you!

I'll tell my chef not to bother putting any effort in when plating things up then... 🙈😂 Only joking buddy, of course I get what you mean, sometimes good old classic comfort food is what you crave, and a good pie definitely hits the spot. Should definitely, 100%, without a doubt, be mushy peas though!!!! I actually had a pie from there (if it was the one between other and Pyramid, not too far from San Remo) but I had chips. The pie was decent enough but the chips were terrible.
balti-pie
pie with beans is a significant faux pas. And lord knows i should know, i'm an anthropomorphic pie 😄

To be fair I had ruined its presentation by smashing it up and choosing the bean rather than pea option.
