And would they even pull a decent crowd at Glasto?

Should pull at least as good a crowd as QOTSA did last year on the Other against Reg.
Certainly couldn't see them filling the Pyramid field. Yes, they headline the likes of Werchter but most of the festivals they play are 2/3 stage affairs.

If we presume Emily was talking about the 2nd female act not yet signed when talking about “a really big American artist” (I do) - and we consider that both Rihanna and Pink had tour/activity rumors last week - but Rihanna is both not an American artist by definition (her wiki calls her “a Barbadian singer” and Pink had dates leaked around Glastonbury so I think it’s Pink. Emily claiming she’s excited I don’t think matters. She’d claim she was excited for anyone booked. (Except Arctic Monkeys).

Wanting to release the first poster in January instead of a single headliner infers to me that the headliners are weaker, which is further proof to me that it’s Pink.

I know I am way behind all the chat but is Pink actually being considered as a pyramid headliner? As a 55 year old woman, probably young enough(20s) when she was in her prime, I literally know none of my friends or anyone of the next gen who was ever or now into her. Other pyramids have tended to have a generational crossover. Does anyone under 30 even know who she is?  I am finding this a weird idea. Not complaining as I have done my time at pyramid.

I don’t think she has much appeal to the younger generation either to be honest.

Billie Eilish was very much of the moment though, unlike P!NK.

Isn't Billie current though? Also why are we not talking Britney who's book has just been released? And who's story is deserving of a powerfull front line arena

Just posted the same thing as you at the same time.

Britney doesn’t fit though and she’s a bit erratic!

I can’t work this forum out.

I’m seeing comments saying pink isn’t big enough but then she’s clearly bigger & has more longevity than a billie eilish

then the goal posts have to move so she’s not current enough

but the same people are all over Madonna who isn’t current at all.

fact is while pink may not be current she is still a big act that has been going since the 90’s sold plenty of albums sells out stadium tours

she isn’t my thing but too many on here sound like hipsters and anyone not deemed cool in their eyes is shot down

Well, I am going for Britney. She may be erratic, but fits with the launch of her book and the timing of Emily's talk and cos just don't see Pink as a big enough draw. It will be a very low crowd. Otherwise, Madonna. Not a fan but seems an obvious catch for Emily. Obviously not Ri as she is from Barbados
