This exactly. She played T in 2013 and I was elsewhere (watching Beady eye oops lol) but apparently she’s dog sh*t live

Yeah the Super Bowl was awful. Production was good but her actual “performance” was terrible. Heavily mimed and she just looked like she couldn’t be arsed.

Queen ain't Queen without Freddie

Fortunately i saw them in 1982

Perhaps not but it would still be one hell of a show.

I saw them in 82 as well, and a couple of times in 86, I'd be all over them headlining.

Why has the consensus moved to Madonna being ruled out?

If she has been ruled out, and Eavis is still insistent on having two female headliners, then O-Rod's chances have probably gone up a lot. A gamble but A) has done and enjoyed the festival before B) is a huge hit C) her star is only rising with the new single last week and the second album due this year. If Billie Eilish can do it, I don't see why O-Rod can't.

Can someone explain why Madonna is seemingly ruled out with her US tour starting mid-July? Playing the G a couple of weeks before kicking that off puts her in prime contention IMO

*Edit - just realised the dates listed on her site are for July of this year and to be rescheduled. Has there been specific information the US tour will be Summer next year? Seems a long gap after finishing the Europe leg in December

Don't really care whether somebody considers them really Queen or whatever, the important thing is that Adam Lambert is a top showman, belting out some of the greatest songs ever written with the living members of the band and expensive stadium level production. A good time is a good time.

With two original members, they are as much Queen as the Stones are the Stones, or The Who are The Who… Both bands that don’t get the same level of stick for carrying on after losing members.

Probably because The Stones and The Who still have their original singers who are the focal point of the band.
