Loyle Carner and Young Fathers must be in the running.  I'd also be surprised if Rosalia and Sudan Archives don't feature given they're active and around.  I know they usually try to get a legendary funk/soul/disco act in the running but I'm at a loss to think who may be eligible this year.  Smokey Robinson maybe?

Why mess around, just get Chic back!

Has anyone thought about Jacob Collier playing (or even headlining) West Holts?

Jazz and Rhythm and Blues - could suit an early slot on WH, but headliner no.

WH headliners are generally/usually "party bands"

the discord has known one WH headliner for weeks. which day, too.

Thought the Loyle Carner/Sat WH headliner was only a rumour?

you nailed it. 🙂

the best cider is nothing.

I don't really consider Brothers as cider tbh.

It's a sugary pick-me-up which takes me from hungover to happy.

Coupled with the vibe of the WH and some decent food, no better way to start the day!

When Jungle Brothers said they were coming to the UK I was hoping for them to be on West Holts but they've since announced for Readipop in August so it's probably unlikely - shame.

I made my first trip to the Brothers Bar on Thursday last year. Strawberry cider was the nicest beverage I've ever had. Or at least it felt like it at the time. I've been longing for it ever since, might be a daily hangover cure this year

had a look at Easy Star All-stars tour and looks like they are over here in August so a slim hope there sadly. A man can dream though. Saw them do Dub side of the Moon at The Big Chill which was fantastic.

They’re playing Beautiful Days

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
