Nope. Im about 15st 8, but Im 6ft 4. So most people would say Im pretty average for my height.

I dont have issues in the cold. At all. I go watching Oldham Athletic every week. Anyone who's ever been to Boundary Park will tell you it's not the warmest... I cant remember the last time I wore a jumper / hoodie under my coat to a game. Even in minus temps, I'd be too hot.

I am never cold. The meme of a bloke in shorts in the snow... that's me.

But what about when your body temperature increases during exercise?  How do you manage in a sweaty gym / football pitch / studio?

The midnight run of the GFS is not keen on keeping it dry. This is the sequence from Wednesday to Friday festival week.  Rain close to our west which it brings in overnight Thurs/Fri.  Quite light rain though.    Far too early for this kind of detail but shows the potential for wet is there….  No sign of an Azores finger.

I have had issues. I suffered with panic attacks brought on by heat.

I havent had 1 for a long time though.

Running hands under a cold tap for ages brings me out of it. Unfortunately that isnt an option at the festival.

Normally don’t believe anything I see in the Express and as it’s pile of shite but I’d be happy if the story just under the banner is true!

Hmmm...looks like that's this week only.

In all seriousness have you discussed said panic attacks with your GP?  They may be able to suggest some things.

As I say, its a long time since I last had 1. I had been to the GP. The physical issues through the heat are genetic I think. My nephew has issues, at 8 year old he was taken home from school cos he fainted. My sister cant stand it...

My dad loves the heat.

Not sure about the milkman, I'll ask my mum.

Unfortunately if its hot, just got to deal with it. Pay your money, take your chance. It'll just be survival mode rather than enjoyment for 5 days.

If the temperatures creep up to around 30 I would seriously consider not going.

20-25 sounds alright though.

2010 was like that & it's the only festival I didnt love. On the Sunday, I was determined to enjoy myself & in fairness I did. Sober though. Packed up early on Sunday morning cos there is no way we could have woken up there on the monday. It was rancid.

Saw hardly any acts that year. In fact I didnt see anything on the Saturday before Muse.

If you look at the postage stamps there is still shed loads of uncertainty around rain at the moment. Pretty much all the models are suggesting a high to the southwest with a low to the north of it. If that's the case it's likely to be average temperatures with a mix of sunshine and showers depending on exactly where that high and low sit.

If that comes true we'll struggle to predict with any accuracy the detail of any showers and precisely where they'll fall, even on the day. There was one morning last year where I got a text from a mate at Bath and West saying it was chucking it down, and it did for an hour or so, but over on the main site it stayed dry with a nice rainbow.prec-372.thumb.png.20c8c711ed719889a2c210c7696fae7d.png

Yeh, those temps are 38 and up… I think we can cope with 20 - 25 🙈😂

I KNOW!!! Some people in here are well melodramatic. I know the diversity is what makes the weather thread rollercoaster so fun, but the 'woe is me' narrative at the thought of an average normal sunny day is getting a bit boring. I'm starting to wonder if people are doing it on purpose as a kind of reverse psychology thing for the weather gods now. 24c is not a heatwave ffs 🤣🤣

Nah. Some people just have a different feeling to you. If it rains, I hope you feel the same & dont moan about it.

As said, pay your money - take your chance. Its a festival in Summer. I might not want sunny, but its tough.

Indeed.  The Control run for midday on the Thursday is particularly gruesome.  More runs needed…

Yeah, and apparently the opposite happened when there was that thunder shower in 2014(?) that shut everything down - totally fine elsewhere in the local area.

    • I do agree to a point and I will just not buy tickets for some things now cos I know there’s a good chance I’ll get some cheap.   also think the quality of a lot of the artists around is just quite poor at the moment, either touring albums from 20 years ago or poorly received  albums    then also this trend of doing 7 shows at one location, people are tired of travelling and there’ll always be spares close to the time

    • It's gone past can I afford it, and more is it worth it?   For over half the shows I go to, buy a ticket the week of the show and chance it that it is on tickets or a seat filler.
