I'll be waiting for this now just incase JEW have pulled out.

They were promoting one of the euro fests they're doing yesterday so I think you're good there.

There were still gaps in the line up despite the last announcement being called the final announcement so makes sense they have a couple more to announce

Saint Agnes are a great band but to be honest I thought they were already playing as their recent London show was "2000 Trees Presents".

Must admit I thought the same. To the extent I already had them on my trees playlist

Turnstile have pulled out of Rock Am Ring/Park

They pulled out of Primavera weeks ago which is the same weekend as those. Dates after this week (from mid June-July) haven't seemed to be affected though. This also includes their European mainland tour which I feel like would have been announced as cancelled by now if they were. I feel pretty confident in them being there but have no idea why they cancelled those shows for the first week in June.

I agree. Those early June shows seemed odd with the gap before the main tour. I'm hoping those cancellations are a logistics thing

Indeed. None of them suggest being replacements for major acts.

I hope you're right, but getting smaller bands could mean that they bump up bands above them?

Anyone know why this fest is on Thursday to Saturday (rather than Friday to Sunday)? Would love to do it one day but I'm a teacher so not possible to get the time off work.

This is the case for most festivals in Europe that take place over the same weekend: NOS Alive, Bilbao BBK and Ruisrock. The only 2 festivals I've found that have artists playing on the Sunday are TRNSMT and Mad Cool who are doing the Sunday for the first time ever it seems. No idea why this appears to be the industry standard for this weekend and only this weekend. The only guess I could come up with is that whenever the world cup or euros are on the final typically falls on that Sunday with Qatar making it an exception for this year.

Also the Thursday in Trees used to be far smaller. Music was only on two stages and comedy on another. It also started much later like at around 4pm. As the festival started to grow it just made more sense for them to slowly expand the Thursday by adding more of the stages and having it start earlier until it slowly became equal to Friday and Saturday rather than do a new day on the Sunday.

they added like 25 tiny unknown bands for the last 'band a day'

no sign of The Xcerts but I have seen multiple sources cite them as playing so no idea when that'll be announced, maybe it'll be a secret set?

They were on a leaked press release but I think it fell through. One of the band members posted on Discord that they were defo not playing

    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
    • 6music just shared a video of all of Fontaines DC singing along to the Cure last night. It'll be them. Booooo    Olivia might get up for I Love You though...
    • Proper loser behaviour wearing a tee like that. Me and my mate play a game every year called ‘Boomer Tees’ and there’s some gems every time.
