Does anyone really watch the BBC much anyway? I never put those channels on or much of any standard TV really.

Occasionally watch stuff on iplayer, the BBC news website is my go to for news and I imagine that is hideously contaminated at the moment.

I only watch Sky News on YouTube for new but otherwise I hardly ever watch standard TV, just stream stuff online. They can put whatever they want on the BBC for all I care.

I think if the queen was here and able to say what she would want people to do over the next week she would want people to just be kind to each other. I don't think she would be bothered about all these cancelation and token gestures.

Wouldn’t she have some kind of say in what she expected prior to her death ? I guess maybe not in such detail

I've been in bed all day as I am so fucking depressed. Nothing to do with the Queen, it's just a cycle of my bi polar. Mind you it gives me an excuse to burst into years when I go to Aldi for my Chardonnay. I am sobbing already

Hope you're doing okay

Nah mate no one watches the BBC, apart from literally millions of people every day.

I guess where you get your content is irrelevant as you're just looking out for Starmer content

Hull Folk and Maritime Festival
Steve's End of Summer Shindig
Wigan Diggers Festival
Penlee Park Open Air Theatre

Just to name 4

Tiny local events by the look of things.

Larger events, e,g. Mucky Weekender which starts today, couldn't afford to cancel, nor should they.

Hope everyone will be watching the Kings speech.

He'll probably talk about ugly modern architecture, GM crops and how fracking is a fucking stupid idea.

Not a hope in hell of me watching any speech by any monarch.

About time this world started to evolve.

Yet you keep talking about them, probably a good idea if you are this against them to avoid a politics thread.

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
