Never a frown, with Gordon Brown.

His speech a few days prior to the 2014 independence referendum swayed a lot of people. No matter what your politics were he set out the economic realities that we would face, the glaring omissions and inaccuracies of the snp fiscal plans rather that the flag waving, rhetoric and soundbites Salmond was coming out with.
Not a politician who fits in with the modern media friendly style we expect now. He made mistakes like not being more vocal in opposing Blair over Iraq but a lot better than most of the shallow publicity seeking individuals we now see in Westminster.

I know... the lording of Brown on Afghanistan is a bit sick really given the history involved...

whilst I was positive about Brown on other issues his, and the Blair administrations attitude and actions over Iraq were totally abhorrent and indefensible.

Expectation management

If they feel like it's gonna be a surprise if Johnson is still PM by the end of the week then that's pretty big.

Whoa.

I'm sorry are we living in absolute lala land? The same police who didn't have enough evidence to investigate have given damning evidence to the inquiry? The same inquiry which they're waiting the results of before deciding if it's worth investigating? 🤡

Even lawyers think it’s odd.
