Easy to forget Liverpool were top at the end of the year and city 6th.

I'm not blaming him but Liverpool fell off a cliff when Thiago came back from injury in January.

Because hendo hasn't been in the middle of the park. Chelsea firing on all cylinders tonight.

Pulisic back to his best. Classic Werner getting into good positions but not delivering the end product. If he wore his shooting boots we couple be two up. We're not winning the first ball in the air though which we need to keep an eye on. Big second half coming up. If we could knock a goal and shut up shop it would be a brilliant result.

Perspective. Mason Mount's overall impact on the game is greater than just the goals scored stat.

I think you could say that about many midfielder. However take the comparison with Soucek. Chelsea and West Ham have a similar points total this season with both playing, take both out and I think west hams point total is more significantly hit.

Of course I did but stats can be deceptive. Didn't Lukaku have insane ones early in his career coming off the bench and running at tired defences.

Are those goals worth less than a forward who starts scoring the 4th in a 3-0 win? I remember one season Kane winning the golden boot on the back of goals in dead end of season games. Also I seem to remember Berbatov one season having a decent total, but a large proportion of important goals.

From a team of the year point of view probably not. I'd consider the players who are making a big difference to teams through out all aspects of the match and over the course of the full season. The Bruno Fernandes and Soucek type players. Dias definitely has made a massive difference to Citys defence and so I'd have him in there. Its also why I mentioned dunk as a possibility rather than just picking all the players who have won the league this year.

You could make an argument for even Bamford over Foden based on league performances. Thats not to say I don't expect Foden to be in there next year he's fought his way in in the later stage of the season.

Surely that is about the team around them. The only way to compare is to swap them and see how the teams then preform, which obviously can't happen so very hard to tell these type of things

Roman would have to be adding a very very large bag of money to any theoretical swap deal involving Mount and Soucek...

Balbuena red rescinded. How many is that now for West Ham? They seem to be getting the brunt of the shitty decisions this season. I can't decide if that one or the Soucek / Mike Dean one was worse.

That’s an interesting one. After that red last week most Leeds fans were in agreement that the red card was justified as our captain was sent off in similar circumstances the other week while playing Man City.

Coopers foot was a bit higher and slightly connected with the knee so it was indeed a dangerous follow through and probably justified the red card but where is the consistency between the refs and appeals panel?

Either both of these should be red cards or neither of them. Why has one been rescinded and not the other.

The big question is; is making contact with a player with raised studs after touching the ball a foul or not?

Can't think of anything duller apart from if I were able to watch it with you it would mean I was out of hospital and back home which wouldn't be dull it would be my greatest wish.

Well even though you can be very cruel towards me, I hope you manage to get out of hospital sharpish. Hope you are OK. Hopefully City will win tonight and cheer you up.
