Good to kind of lurk and listen to the chat last night.

Great to finally meet @clarketeafter so long.

You too 😊

I didn't realise it featured reporters on location.  Pre-festival excitement levels are clearly ramping up  🎉🍺🍸

Marvelling at the difference and audio quality between your set up and @gazzared's - mind you joining from the coast is pretty special.

I think it did improve when I switched to only using my phone but yeah 02 and Three both garbage reception here but I think that's the point really as the coastal walks and beaches are really good so I shouldn't be on my phone anyway 🤣

Haha, he had the location for sure.

It’s a podcasting mic. I have a business podcast hence the setup. Watch this space for a new festival podcast that will be landing shortly….

Splendid 😊

I'm am outlier these days...not sure I've ever listened to a podcast. No idea why 🤔

@Bike_Like_A_Mum and those who were on early last night.

To clarify my comments about the bush. At midday on 17th Feb this year the bush was standing proud, by 12:10 a tractor had appeared dragging a big green pipey thing used for (I assume) spreading slurry, by 12:30 he had manged to loop it around the bush 🙈, by 12:35 the bush was sadly no more 😔. Hence our tribute to the bush on our charity bin, any allusion to any other bush was completely unintended 😂.

It was indeed, plus the virtual tour and the shot of the moon.

And the full moon tonight was even more spectacular , took a mini telescope and a drink out into the middle of cockmill Meadow and just marvelled at the beauty

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
