How does this work? I imagine chaos 😂

not really .... just log on at the allotted time or anytime really and just chat ... camera on or off .... it was initially setup at the time of the first cancelled festival and we ran the first one at the time the efest meet would have happened ..... quite a few of us have remained and its nice to chat festivals and randomness sometimes with drinks on  board ... sometimes not

It has been chaos on occasion. Nothing wrong with that 😁

But generally speaking it's just a lovely bunch of folk from this forum having a gas. Chatting about the festival and chatting not about the festival. Some folk know each other and some don't....  initially.... but then everyone gets to know each other.

I can honestly say that I can't quite believe how many wonderful friendships have been created from the virtual meets. At the meets there are always some regulars and of course new visitors.

It can be quite daunting to launch oneself into a group like that. Tell me about it! In the early days I quite fancied it but my social anxiety (or just general oddness maybe😄) prevented me from doing it. I did find a work around... Full disguise so no bugger knew who I was. It worked.

I now attend as the real me!

So, the point that I'm trying to make is... go on, get aboard. You will be welcome and are likely to make a whole new circle of friends.

Oh, and you don't even have to say anything, just hang out there!

@RatingsAndMoneydoes a mean Reg these days and is keen to start off proceedings with just that. See you all then

Will likely hop on for a listen/chat about all things Glastonbury. Will be nice to meet like minded people who probably talk about it at every given opportunity.

Ps, I’ll leave singing Elton to the man himself.

    • A question has crossed my (questionable) mind;   Has the size of the Green Fields remained the same as other areas have expanded / been added on to, since say, 2014 (the last time that I attended)? Are they 'lost' within, or well attended?    That's actually two questions. The second one just slipped in at the end by taking advantage of my lack of means to stop it.
    • I'd say the same about Kylie.    Annie would be awesome, Duran not so much, and on the issue of them wanting a beanie slot, that probably rules out a fair few others who I think would fit the bill very well... and are legitimately more entitled to a headline, and/or too expensive.   Was just about to suggest Chaka Khan, but see @Gnomicide has beat me to it!    What about someone like Bryan Ferry?
    • It's certainly gone more that way, but then they went completely in the opposite direction and had Cat Stevens.
