The ones who go back to normal first will ultimately win.

win ? its a global pandemic .... whilst the virus is still killing huge numbers of people nobody wins and the virus continues to cause other issues  .... we will be the first to get an economic boost I would guess ... but have one of the hardest hit economies so it will take us longer to get back to more of a normality , 140,000 people dead and people say  its great that we left Europe because we chose a different vaccine path , what a horrible attitude to be taking .... (apologies Barry Fish only first point was in response to your post )

Fuck Nationalism bollocks

But its statistically insignificant. And I'm not sure what they'll find out in a day/Week which contradicts the UK usage data and AZN data

yes, austrian virologist Florian Krammer from Med School Mount Sinai said the same here.

there have been 7 new cases for Germany. but EMA will approve again, I`m sure.

But trust will be disappear in Germany and other countries. That will be a big problem on that one in these countries.

I don't think you can ignore the global ecconmic competition and the spoils to be had from coming out of this first.  That was my point.

we will rebound better if we can trade openly and travel without restrictions brexit has fucked lots of this but mixed with this and the pandemic there will be plenty of sectors struggling until tourism gets to rebound properly ...

I was a remainder and agree on Brexit but that shipped has sailed.

We are an independent nation and need to live that reality.

even accepting that fact the pandemic will be causing many issues until we are able to Travel freely .... maybe we get that this summer .... but looking how things are going at the moment it looks very borderline to me

Nope. That was an error and has been corrected.

They put out a press release specifically saying over-40s multiple times and publicised it on their social media, so it's more of a backtrack than an error. It might take a while for details to come out, but I suspect they might have had a slap on the wrist from Westminster.

Still, they've said they'll honour appointments booked so I'm heading down in about half an hour to get mine done.

    • Muse new album out soon , European tour announcement for Nov and Dec, no Spanish date and north American tour starts in July and in North America for all of July and August. So primavera and Glastonbury
    • Well he is on a rape charge, don't see that one as controversial.    Although Hakimi is in Morocco squad.
    • Electric Callboy just said they'll be touring here next year. I'm not sure there's a poster for it though. I'll look when I'm near some next.      He said we'll see you at Download at a gig before any of the band. Presumably he was trolling. They're in Austria at the moment and Germany tomorrow with a week's break and more shows in Germany. Whilst not impossible to come back here and then go over there again, it seems unlikely.
    • Thomas Partey, knocked back by Canadian immigration now.
    • I'm sure someone can update you on the clashfinder, and it will be pretty accurate by the time the festival comes around. It's a large flat-ish arena with main stage in the open air, no best side I'd say. Leadmill (3rd stage medium tent) is at the back of the main arena, T'Other (2nd stage big tent) 5 min walk round the corner. At full capacity walking around can take a bit more time though. I noticed that The Enemy are scheduled to not fully overlap with Wolf Alice, so you could catch part of their set too.   You can walk around anywhere with a beer, with most bars the usual mass market stuff, but one nice craft ale tent, back of the arena near the Leadmill stage. A main meal will set you back £10-15, but cheaper snacks also available. Expect a pint to be £7-8. Possibly a bit more this year as prices everywhere are increasing.   It's fairly easy to get to from the town centre using the tram, although can be busy at peak times / very busy at curfew. If you like a walk, it's approx 40 mins to Kelham Island (lots of indy venues) and probably an hour to the city, or catch an Uber. There will be loads of 'fringe' music events on around the city right through the weekend. Most are free. Have a wonderful trip, enjoy the festival, and your stay in our city!
