Charming.

There are plenty of folk on here who are more than happy to preach right and wrong and self righteous beliefs.

Personally I couldn't give a fuck as it gets us to where we need to be but your refusal to send it is the equivalent of queue jumping and potentially putting someone else at increased risk is laughable there is a finite amount of vaccine at the moment and appointments are being postponed or rearranged.

No logic was displayed in my post, no suggestion it had to be done in a particular order.

Refusal to send it? What the f*** are you on about? I included the link in the post.

Please explain who my mother is jumping ahead of? All over 70s have been offered it now, so what on Earth are you suggesting? She’s 69 on Sunday, should she have waited til then? Or does she need to wait until 69 and a half year olds have had it?

You’re talking utter shit, I refuse to be made to feel bad about doing a good thing to help end this virus. F*** me what an odd thing for you to do.

Just got my vaccine. If you want one, find out where your local pharmacy is doing it, call up 30 mins beforehand and ask for any spares.

Isn’t it funny that our resident “lockdown sceptics” are among the few regulars on here that have been vaccinated? Maybe we can put to bed the myth that conflated lockdown scepticism with anti vaccination views.

You’re talking utter shit.

Refusal to acknowledge that should have said.

Your jumping ahead of all the people who are doing what they have been told to do and be contacted. By the very fact you have booked one you have taken a slot that would have been given to someone waiting patiently inline - following instructions.

The online form was put there for over 70s who didn't have their jab already. That is was was said at start of the week.

This was an artist who sold out the 1000 capacity standing Leamington gig in 24 hours a few years back but couldn't shift 200 socially distanced tickets a week. And last year did a very well-received series of regular seated gigs in theatres.

Not saying there aren't other factors in play, for sure. Not the sort of gig people wanted, price was higher, you had to book a minimum of two tickets, student population not there, difficulty of getting child care - but to go from selling 1000 tickets in 24 hours to less than 200 tickets in a week is still huge. Not to mention that last show was part of a tour where there were other gigs in the Midlands, this was one of about 4 shows they were doing as a trial.

That fall in demand is scary. And it's partly what's led me to decide not to start promoting shows again until everyone is vaccinated and all restrictions are dropped.

Yeah. That is quite the collapse in demand. Did these shows even happen? I think he had some announced that had to be pulled due to the November lockdown, and I can't seem to find them on his setlst.fm profile. It is the contrast though. Seven years ago today, I went to see at London O2 and it was huge scale, and it's a bigger drop that supplants many issues. It may just be endemic of a changing and more tough terrain right now.

Going forward I wouldn't be surprised to see big stadium shows take longer to sell tickets, given the huge price is now coupled to uncertainty of whether they could happen.

I remember the first time meeting up with 4 friends in a park (+ my GF, so 6 in total) when outdoor gatherings were brought in back in June.

Everyone started out well intentioned, sitting 2m apart in our respective couples. By the time the first couple of boxes of tinnies were empty, we were moving closer together to chat. By the end of the afternoon it was hugs all round.

I find it hard to believe many people genuinely perform social distancing when they meet with their friends.

Households don't have to distance and your support bubble counts as part of your household. So us (a couple living together) were able to have our support bubble and another couple over, just keeping 2m between the two groups. Not too hard. We didn't drink though.

Fully back you on this. Not a clue what he is on about. I think you did a good thing, infact you objectively did so thank you. Think the other guy needs a lie down.

Yeah it’s much harder when you’ve got a drink in you. It also totally depends on WHY you’re distancing in the first place. If it’s because you genuinely don’t want to either catch the virus from your mate or spread it to your mate, then it’s much easier to keep that distance. But if you’re just doing so for moral or legal reasons then it breaks down a lot more after a few beers.

This website is there for all of those people. I actually helped inform people of its existence, thus helping the people you are talking about.

Again you seem to have ignored what I said that there are thousands of free slots for tomorrow, so you seem to be suggesting it’s better that NO ONE gets the jab tomorrow if it means we’re not going in the right order.

You are aware in some areas people in the 60-65 age groups are being jabbed now? They’re all selfish scum too, right?

All over 70s who want the jab can now get the jab. Your argument is utter bollocks and makes no sense.

Yeah they got pulled as it was around when the numbers were starting to go up, so they were cancelled as it didn't seem a wise thing to do. I think the week after they were due to happen the tiers system came in.

The first show sold out really fast, so they added a second one (weekend matinee) that barely sold any at all. Was quite weird.

Thank you. It’s genuinely odd. Imagine someone having wonderful, fantastic, inarguably good news and just taking a dump right over it. He probably stands outside of cancer treatment centres saying they shouldn’t have been treated yet as someone else was 0.4% iller than them and should’ve been treated first.

Genuinely odd behaviour.

Do you not see the hypocrisy at play?

People saying they will break rules are consigning people to death according to some on here. Failing to follow an instruction that leads to a vaccine and your a martyr.

I reckon if it was an outdoor gig in summer demand would be higher. Everyone could see which way the wind was blowing around September October and I remember thinking at the time how ambitious he was announcing those gigs.

I'm holding out for somethng, anything, outdoors socially distanced this summer, even though I don't believe it'll be allowed

I thought that to be the case.

I think indoor gigs, socially distant or not, are gonna find it more difficult to get tickets sold, what with concerns over things like ventilation. Even if I'm aware there's an assortment of trials being done to try and assess if it in fact can be done. Though I agree -that sounds like a bizarre drop-off.

Says the person who just completely shat on someone having one of their happiest days in the past shit year, using a really stupid argument to try and make someone feel guilty for doing a good deed.
