If he does Little Bit closer at big weekend I will be happy with that

The new album has really, really grown on me despite initially underwhelmed. Think I was after the big sing along anthems, but on reflection the new songs are much more nuanced and mature as he has grown as an artist.
Really feel like this was the year for him to headline and carry all his momentum into a rip-roaring headline set, but alas.

For some weird reason the Newcastle players had his name on their shirts.

it's part of a league cup sponsorship thing we've been doing this season:

Is this the secret to winning things?   If so can Spurs get on the blower to AJ Tracey, Adele or.....  Phil Collins Please/Now

Fender kept Going Home last night as the opener, and also played a snatch of Happy Birthday to You for Alan Shearer in the crowd.

I did mull the idea of going abroad for one of these shows - hooked it due to his health record - but think if I had, I'd be feeling a little shortchanged. Really needs to be getting those setlists up to sixteen or seventeen songs for me.

Of course, the fella is loaded, has his reasons and can do what he wants.

Yeah I've got tickets for the London date in June and I'll be a bit disappointed if we're still at 14 songs by that point.

Got to assume he was, but at the same time, much has been made in the past that he might not be an out-and-out Magpies fan. He - or his marketing team - have very cleverly helped parlay it into part of his identity however, and at the very least, the matter of its illegitimacy is moot now; if you're namechecking Dan Burn at European away nights, you're probably carrying your stripes.

The European run is over now, with a pretty static selection - think we can assume at least a dozen of those form the core basis of the summer shows over here. The adornments will be interesting - think at a minimum, you'll get sixteen songs, but I will be surprised if he pushes much past the ninety-five minute mark when encore breaks are included.

Just watched some of his Coachella set on YouTube—he looked great, but the small crowd was noticeable. Breaking into the American market is no easy feat.

It was small. Because of his American influences, and them being so obvious in his music, you’d think he could. Problem is the way to do it over there is to play everywhere. Tour and tour and tour. I seriously doubt he’s got the stamina for it.

    • Possibly not as there are chair size restrictions in the seated area, for the guidelines see here -  https://www.bbc.co.uk/backstage/radio2inthepark/bring   Have a look into applying for Access and I would recommend contacting them for further advice before buying a ticket - https://www.bbc.co.uk/backstage/radio2inthepark/access  They should also be able to answer if you can take a wheelchair into the seated area 🙂
