Been back for a while now, read that company that now owns the old Taunton cider have issues with new Taunton cider about using the name natch.

Used to love natch back in the day of flagons also specialvat was good.

Just before factory shut back in the 90s they were making a still cider called Somerset leveller which was fantastic, sadly never saw commercial release

Hecks as you know is in Street. Moons are more or less opposite the Apple Tree pub just before site when coming from Glastonbury. They put a sign by the turning.

Controversial, but I do not like Hecks one little bit. I can taste the sweeteners which utterly ruined what should be a natural product.  I know they're highly thought of, but I really didn't like them.

Was on a big boat to Ireland through the week and they were selling 24 330ml cans of Orchard Thief cider for £8. With our minimum pricing up here that was for sure a bargain….and I thought it went down very well ice cold in the sun 😎

If you're ever down in the Torbay area, worth a visit (nearest establishment to me); culprit of many a fuzzy head

Also worth visiting Hunts cider in Stoke Gabriel as well.

Totally agree with this. Unfortunately many cider makers use sweeteners as adding sugar tends to restart fermentation which can push the alcohol content up into the next vat bracket. It's one of the reasons I stick to dry cider.

Frustrating. Sweeteners are everywhere and I can't stand the aftertaste. I would much rather that things simply aren't as sweet.

Yes, same here. Sweeteners leave a horrible after taste for me although a lot of people don't seem to experience this. The only sweetener I have ever 'got on with' is stevia. Coke used to do a sugar free version using stevia in a green can which I actually quite liked, sadly they withdrew it from the UK market for some reason.

I swear my box of Thatchers gets stronger with every pint.  It was like apple juice when I first opened it, now it seems to be about 10%!

You should give the below a try if you want a nice still cider that won't get you wrecked after 2 pints.

This one's even nicer but it gets me pissed a bit too quickly.

I picked up 3l of their Bull Walloper at the Mid Devon County show on Saturday.  Had a taster beforehand, obvs, very nice!  Now I have to avoid temptation and keep it out of sight for Beautiful Days!

    • Morocco are a good side, know what it takes in tournaments. Semi final last world cup, AFCON winners (kind off). No one should under estimate Morocco, I think they will win the group and get to the quarters minimum.
    • Came to the same decision after age 40. I'm lucky enough now to be able to manage on only 4 days work, in a job that does not expect me to do more than my contracted hours.
    • Looking like it will be beautiful weather at the end of June. Long hot summer predicted by various places including our favourite netweather nerds. Let's hope we get a repeat this time next year. 🌞
    • Just finished Spider Noir which was far better than I expected it was going to be. Nic Cage clearly having a ball chewing up the scenery and the most Irish Brendon Gleeson you have ever seen. Watch in authentic black and white only for the best experience.
    • After realising that I couldn't remember how season 4 ended I decided to rewatch the whole lot. I stopped after 4 episodes of S4 to watch Gen V season 1 as there is quite a bit of crossover then finished S4 before Gen V Season 2. Finished off with S5 of The Boys and I was a little disappointed. I still enjoyed it and they did well to wrap everything up but the inexplicable lack of budget for the final season really stood out for me.
