Good man. My one man Weatherspoons boycott is bringing him to his knees!

Did you see him blame remainers for the fall in profits? Funny stuff.

Good point - I shall sup my remainer £4.10 continental pilsner in solidarity

I shall continue to purchase my £1 a pint canned  Pilsner from the local Polish shop .

Is it me or is it getting harder to spot Wetherspoons pubs? Was in one for an hour last week before my other half said 'Surprised you agreed to come in here as its a Wetherspoons'. Nearly spat my rank room temperature ale over the dirty table (to be fair, the signs were there)

The Wetherspoons gimp can sod right off and take the Vac dickhead with him.

After listening to the playlist quite a lot now, I am now starting to pull together a list of who I want to see.  Almost ideally there are lots of , "hmm they sound pretty good and I wouldn't mind seeing them", a couple of "Yep, will see them probably" and a few "nah, I don't think so".  But I don't think there is any "yes, absolutely, must see them at all costs".

As I say pretty ideal - somewhere to head for if I want to but nothing I need to rush for if I stumble across something else to enjoy on the way.

Now to start on Glastonbury!

I really feel I should know them better.   I seem to remember my son liking them years ago but can't really place them.  I don't think they've come up on my playlist much either so will have to have a proper listen.  Still have a few weeks to make some adjustments to the list!

See you there :)

The first year i went, 2012, me and me pal (we live in Bham) had Glastonbury in our minds and left at like 6.30am - we were there 7.15! didn't open till 9am, was so funny, couldnt believe how stupid we'd been

Same here !

If we get set up early , i will use the time to do a bit of maintenance on the camper , have a mooch , meet up with friendsin  the camp sites and try not to hit the booze  too early.

My partner wanted to arrive Friday morning , but with Sister Bliss on the decks , Thursday she ain't gonna win that one.

Does anyone know what time Ms Bliss will be on ?

I'm looking to get there about noon. Gentle drive down from Manchester, picking up my mate from the airport who is flying in from Belfast, brekkie on the way. Also have a new tent, one of those inflatable ones. Had a trial run on the field last week. Cannot wait.

We bought one of them a few years ago...best £300 I've ever spent. Dead sturdy, piece of piss to put up and surprisingly easy to put back in the bag!

Thurs 07:20 coach from Victoria, onsite after lunch

Good to hear not everyone is still gonna aim for gates at 09:00, more people that spread it out over the day the better :)

Personally I will be there on the 13th... Not long now :D

How many hours i have spent watching people trying to put the small Quecha pop up tents back into the circular bags !

I have never had one so never had to endure that , i am sure they must have caused lots of arguments and possibly trips to the welfare tent

    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
    • watching clips of the cure in Barcelona, wow 2 hours 25 minute set. That's gonna be tough on the Sunday but can't bloody wait for it
