Ha! I am competitive but hampered by being absolutely hopeless at FIFA. Even the training is a struggle. If I was to wait until I score (onside) the Orb will just be finishing Little Fluffy Clouds ?

We're coming down from Manchester too, looking to leave mid-morning around 11am to get there around 1ish... hopefully not as much queuing on the roads this time (due to something stuck under a bridge I believe)

And the fact they were so slow in getting Campers and Caravans into the fields and not getting em off the roads which caused everything to back up.  But they have promised to alleviate this year , by taking the rulers of the car park attendants .

Whole loads of stuff being done to sort out the traffic, it will be fine this year am sure (unless everyone turns up at 09:00 on the dot..) lol

I'm pretty lucky with this one as it's just down the road. Last few years I've popped home for a shower Saturday morning as it's quicker than waiting in the queue.

Can't decide what time to turn up on Friday. We normally get there for a leisurely 12 - but I think SPUNGE will be on 12:30 or 1 and want to be in the arena for them!

I find best time to go is mid-day or just use the one in my van

Yeah it took us a couple of hours from being within sight of the site!  And probably an hour just to go round the perimeter of the field even once inside the gates.  It didn't help that they were giving wristbands out individually when you got to the front of the queue and then took each van one by one and told them precisely where to park!  All forgotten once parked up and it helped that it was nice weather but still......

Think we get there at 12ish, coach from Manchester. Meeting up with a few others who are driving, think they'll be aiming to get there a bit earlier. Really looking forward to it now.

I've found all of the food at beardy to be pretty decent although had a disappointing Burrito once, near Maui Waui.

Just a selection of cans of beer - I chose 2 types of craft beers and 2 types of cheaper ales - I think one was London Pride and one of the craft was Dead Pony's Club but can't remember what the others were.  I've allowed 4 cans per day and the rest will be from the ale tent.  Plus a box of red wine for a glass back at the van before bed.  I don't drink spirits so that will do me.

I also bought a big bar of chocolate!  Not sure what to take in the way of food as I tend to prefer just buying lovely grub from the stalls and not preparing anything for myself!  I often find I buy nice little bits and bring most home with me,  So probably just same late night nibbles to go with wine!

I tend to stick to wine at home or bottled beers so the cans are reasonably safe!

I always think these smaller festivals are a good practice run for the bigger ones - I go with a friend with a camper van to Bearded Theory so can take things and if I don't use them at least I haven't lugged them 3 miles from the parking!  And if I don't have enough with me during the day (whether booze, food or clothes) I can nip back easily.  But still think I will take less and see if that works.
